The Benefits Of Being More Generous

Disclaimer: This content is serving a few purposes for me personally. This is my first attempt at creating content directly though InLeo! And the reason why, is because I'm trying to add a capture form....Details about that soon!

So let's talk....Generosity!

Over the weekend I was nose deep into some great books and one of them was from John C. Maxwell. If you have not heard of Dr. Maxwell, he's basically the authority on leadership.

And yeah, I'm a fan of his...

Those are just a few of John's books that I own. One reason I love reading his books is because I get to dive into the mind of one of the top thought leaders when it comes to leadership....For 20 bucks lol

Anyways, this isn't about his books per se, it's more about something I read in his 'Leadership Bible' this week.

He claimed, these 5 points are how you can build generosity into your daily habits and I thought it would be brilliant to share them with you today. Hope it's as much value to you as it was to me when I read them:

1. Be Grateful

You'd be surprised how quick we complain about not having enough, rather than being grateful for what we do have. And when you focus on being grateful, you start thinking of how you can share what you have with others. Plenty to go around when we think of a world of abundance!

2. Putting People First

Oh man, is this ever the truth! People are the greatest resource in business and in any community. And when we put them first, good things seem to happen. So when we put others before our own needs, we put better things into the universe. An attitude of servitude, rather than being served.

3. Don't Be Greedy

Remember above where I mentioned abundance? There is so much to go around for everyone. We need to stop fighting for our slice of the pie, and ask ourselves how we can give more to others!

4. Regard $ As A Resource

This is a fantastic way to look at fiat and crypto...What we can do with it, is so much more powerful than just sitting on it. It's a tool to help others, especially right here. Think of it, curation! Spread those tokens out, and it's a resource to help more people get a bigger share of the rewards pool and keep things decentralized!

5. Develop The Habit Of Giving

Giving doesn't have to be financial. It can be time. It can be resources. It can be so much more than exchanging bank notes. And if we do this daily, it creates another world of abundance that we seem to be bringing up a lot in this post!

All in all, these points really helped me think about being generous! Or at least trying to find ways to implement more generosity into my every day habits.

I hope it helps you as well, develop the habit of generosity!

So here's the second part of my 'guinea pig post' on InLeo...Below is an email capture form that we just set up for the @town-hall witness team.

You should be able to see it fine on InLeo, but the majority of the other front ends on the blockchain, might have it blank.

It's a mailing list we're firing up for the witness, and it's aim is to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with us. And of course, important news about the blockchain.

If you want to help us test this out, sign up below :)

Excellent philosophies! Thanks for sharing them, brother. It's fine to think about ourselves, but it's wonderful to think about and help others as well.

Fits your mission I think as well. Just makes sense to me, spread things out, plenty for everyone.

As it turns out, it's actually the very antithesis of my mission to take over the world and start the world's deadliest and most unnecessary authoritarian regime! 😈😈😈

The more you give, the more you get back. My experience has been that some people will take advantage of you but with a bit of caution, I like that principle.

Yeah, generally...People are awesome. There are a few bad apples in every bunch but overall, people rock lol

Generosity does matter... typically, you get back from the world about what you put into it. And you tend to get more when you put into the world without expectations of getting something back.

=^..^=

Agreed. It's got to be from a genuine desire to help others!

I think that is a pretty good way of thinking about things. Things won't really work out long-term if you don't make all parties happy. So both sides giving up something is a good thing if it benefits everyone involved.

It's just a better way to approach things....When everyone wins, things generally work out.

I subscribe to all the points one by one. If more people had this philosophy of life the world would be a better place.

John C. Maxwell is an authority in leadership. I have read several of his books. The world needs us to be generous. If only we can imbibe those lessons, we're a step ahead to changing the world.

He who sows sparingly, shall reap sparingly and he who sows generously shall reap generously. If you give, it will come back to you.

It is always good to be generous. When we give to others we get more in return. But not always expecting to get something in return. And spend time being grateful for the things we have.
This is really insightful, would love to read one of those .

Being greedy does not help
A lot of people are greedy but are still stagnant in life
Greediness is a bad attitude

People matter a lot. That's the lesson of pandemic. Without people, we can have money but it becomes DUST. That's one reason I try to balance the income, spending and the people around. That kind of helps with the mindset and sanity too.

Viewing money as a resource is a game changer. Resources should be used for good purposes that add value to the whole, I think it's one if the ways to reach abundance. Wonderful points from Dr. Maxwell!
