Adventures in trucking :)

So I started the day at home...Bright and early aroudn 4:30 am exactly lol. Then I began my almost 2 hour commute to the yard where my truck is kept. And that was just the beginning...

Over the course of the day, I have driven almost 1000 kms and am now about 250 kms from the border of the Northwest Territoies. AKA, the Canadian Arctic lol

I'm in High Level, Alberta which is pretty much the last piece of civilation until you start hitting the tundra. I think. Honestly, I have no idea because I've never been this far north before. But it's absolutely covered in smoke right now because of these forest fires that have been plaguing our country since the spring.

I was able to snap a few pictures from the road, and sorry to disappoint, but Northern Canada in the summer doesn't have snow on it lol I also took a screen capture of my position in Alberta. I underlines 'Edmonton' which is where the truck yard is, and I'm now about half way to the capital of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife.

I really hope I get to do that drive someday, it's one of the only parts of Canada I have yet to see.

Adventures in trucking though....Something tells me, I'll get to see a lot of this country over the next few years of this job ;)

Looks like a nice drive with the highway empty like that. The lower population density of Canada is nice once you get used to it.

Yeah there isn't a lot of people when you get this far north.

It looks like a long drive. I am guessing this drive takes multiple days?

I think it's bound to happen lol. You'll visit most of these places if not all with your adventures on the road.

Beautiful views of the are :)

The long road ahead! And the perks of driving - going places :)

The 2 hour commute though, but then again, that's part of the adventure. Have fun!

Trucking is a CRUCIAL job, thank you for doing it man! It helps out tens of thousands of people every day!

It’s a way to explore the country that’s for sure, I’m sure you’ll see a lot of beautiful stuff! Hopefully no moose or caribou when you’re driving though lol

It looks like beautiful country. They have some cameras up in Yellowknife that you can see online to watch the aurora when it comes out. It's pretty cool. I get up at 4:45 each morning if it makes you feel any better. That sucks that you have to drive two hours just to get your truck.

I'm up by like 6:30 now every day without an alarm...Which is crazy because for 25 years, I woke up around 10-11am lol
