I have to admit a few things today...
One, I didn't do a great job yesterday of creating my blog post. Which means I missed a day this past week on chain. I hate that lol I always feel guilty when I miss a day but over the next few days, that might be a regular thing..
You see, I'm home.
Not 'home' where my family lives. Which is of course always the most important place...But 'home' where I grew up.
This weekend, I'm in Toronto, Canada for my best friends wedding. The scheudle conflicted with this weekend's Hivefest which I hate missing out on, but anytime I get to come to Toronto...I'm grateful.
I get to see my father. Spend time around the city. And see a lot of people I grew up with. My friends that I will know for the rest of my life.
My friend is getting married north of the city on Lake Simcoe, and last night we took a drive up to the lake to see the venue and the church he's going to get married at.
In the evening, I took a few snap shots of the lake as the sun went down.
It just gave me a great feeling of being...Home. And while I haven't lived in Toronto for almost 20 years, it's still such a special place for me. I'll always love this city and the people of it. And thankfully, I can put the stress of my 'job' behind me, and focus on friends and family until next week.
Home maybe where the heart is...But home to me, is multiple places in Canada. And the Toronto area will always be home for me.

It always feels to be back home although missing the Hive fest. Best wishes for your best friend on his wedding. Finally, after 20 years you get to see your friends and loved ones again. Have safe travels.
I have been trying to get my buddy to go on a trip with me to Simcoe so we can do some perch fishing. We haven't been able to work out a time though. We keep talking about it but just never make the plans. I hope you have an awesome time at home. Don't feel bad about Hivefest, I'm not there either!
We always feel a little homesick when we return home. Have a good wedding.
