Can You Build An Online Business Using Only HBD?
So you guys by now, know my story....
Was in business for myself for decades. Used PayPal for 17 years without a single issue. Then on April day in 2017, they shut my account down. No reasons, no warning, just poof.
I went from being able to provide for my family, to nothing overnight. The blessing in this story, is that I discovered this blockchain in the process. And have been building on it ever since.
I told myself back then, no matter what I did going forward, I would never rely on 'traditional' payment processors ever again. Which leads me to my desire to use crypto in every aspect of my online business from now until infinity!
So the question came up today when I was speaking with @elianaicgomes ...
"Do you think we could run CTPX using only HBD as a payment option?"
So here's my thoughts on this...
We both agreed, this is what we want to attempt. No more PayPal, no more credit cards, heck not even other crypto....Just $HBD
So we're both on board with the idea.
The plus is that, no one can 'take' your HBD. It's a fantastic stablecoin and something I think everyone agrees on chain, that is a big win for us.
But here's the problem....Us.
The problem is only the Hive community even seems to know about HBD and it's potential. So for us to make this not only a reality, but a profitable one, we're going to have to tackle a few issues that I think we can fix...
Making It Super Simple To Use HBD
We used to own this little program called Hive Pay, and actually built a platform that can be used to facilitate HBD as a payment option. The bigger issue is that HBD isn't everywhere, so there will be some confusion with HIVE vs HBD.
Is this a big issue?
Kinda. I mean, I remember when I first joined this blockchain and dove into it...I couldn't tell the difference at first between Hive, HBD and Hive Power.
There's a big learning curve here, and you can't expect consumers that are used to one click purchases with PayPal and online merchants to 'learn' about this stuff.
They just want to...Buy things.
So we will have to come up with some creative ways to use the information and tools out there currently to help people through the process. That means, a wee bit more education, and we have some ideas on how to tackle this.
But the pros to me, outweigh the cons. And there aren't any cons other than, creating a better experience for users when it comes to actually using HBD. The product (HBD) is superior across so many levels. And if we want to start creating more demand for it, I think we need to attract more online businesses to use it and accept it.
So that's our plan....
While not 100% set in stone yet, this is our goal...And hopefully one day, have all online businesses specially in our niche, accept this truly remarkable token!

There are a lot of failures with the traditional business on fiat currency, online business has taught me a great lesson especially owning a little crypto saved me out of shame. I vowed to increase my HBD come what may.
Thats the bonus too, if we accept on HBD, we can grow with the savings.
I like the resolve and boldness towards using only HBD. Yes it’s not everywhere but the beauty is us you see you will begin to make a path that wasn’t there and developing much needed solutions.
Crypto is tech and it’s developing new models and methods like this that will speak for hive at a later date

It's an interesting idea. Is it going well so far? I haven't really heard much about CTPX lately. We do need to be a product of product if we want people to join.
We have hit a snag with the server issues over the past few months since our dev stepped down. But the site is still kicking and sending out ctp every day.

So many ways to make it happen.
I also think it's a great idea that can come to fruition when more work is done towards it. Relying on traditional payment options can be constricting when building and growing a business.
It's a gamble for sure. I'm living proof that it can end immediately
I wonder if the trick would be to create a payment system that uses HBD, but the client doesn't really have to understand Hive, or HP or whatever. They log into a site that loads their wallet, only showing HBD and their transactions with it. From their perspective it is just HBD. However, they obviously need to have a Hive account, so the payment system helps them create it in the background.
Basically an HBD only front end for Hive. Of course somewhere in this system the user can go down the rabbit hole if they like "hey, by the way HBD user - did you know that there is this thing called Hive? Want to learn more?"
Now this problem is, and will always be, that users will still be responsible for safeguarding their own keys. This is always the tricky part. How do you make an average Joe understand that if they lose their 'password' there is literally nothing we (the developer of said HBD service) can do about it. This is a sticky problem with crypto in general. Even when people use hardware wallets, many still don't understand that if the device breaks and they have lost their keys, well, they are screwed.
One of the problems (centralization) crypto was designed to solve actually has this huge downside for many people who just can't be trusted with custody of their own tokens... but I digress!
That would be slick. Something in the background that loads up the required HBD needed for the transaction and it's all on the backend. The customer doesn't even know it's happening.
The fees for that might be pricey but the idea is brilliant.
It could even be shown as USD with HBD in parenthesis or something. Just throwing ideas out there.

I wish HBD could get listed on binance but looking at the way binance's own coin got attacked and removed due to US legal SEC, I feel HBD has little to no chance now. Hive seems to be the only strong token we have.
It does need more exposure. That's why DEX's are so important.

That's a pretty cool idea. I know a lot of people down in South America and maybe Central America are already using HBD for payments and things like that. You might want to reach out to one of those folks who are acting as a broker for HBD. I'd love to see the day where millions of people have a Hive Wallet and they use it for everyday expenses.
I know I end up exchanging it for every day needs too. So it's a fantastic token for uses!

Yeah H\ivians are never the problem with using HBD, it's getting more from the outside to use it.
It will really going to be a great idea and not only that, if we can start creating more pathway for HBD to be used, it will really be great
