A Content Creator's Cheat Sheet For The Blockchain

To begin this post, let me say I am well aware that there are dozens of 'apps' you can use to do what I'm about to outline. But for this tutorial, I'm focusing on Web 3.0 applications on the $HIVE blockchain!

I believe in being a product of our product, so for entrepreneurs and content creators alike, I hope you find this valuable. But more importantly, you begin to see the true power of using actual #web3 applications!

In a previous post, I mentioned the technique of 'repurposing' our content. The main idea is to take one piece of content and create multiple streams of content consuming for our readers and followers.

I'm going to dive deeper into this, focusing on what we do (@taskmaster4450le and myself) on the Crypto Maniacs Podcast.

So for this example, let's say you have a fantastic idea for a brand new podcast and want to get it out to as many people in the HIVE eco-system as you can...

How can you do that?

We're going to 'Stream it', while 'Recording it' and then we're going to 'Talk About It!'....Using 3 incredible applications that you have access to, right here on Hive.

Let's Stream On @vimm

Put simply, Vimm is an app on the blockchain that I feel is greatly overlooked! The team behind this app have dedicated years to creating something that truly is a fantastic live streaming option.

It's easy to set up, easy to start streaming on, and best of all, it plugs right into the Hive community. If you are creating a podcast, this is a great way to build your loyal viewer and listenership because when you engage with your audience, it makes them feel valued!

You just can't beat, a live interactive podcast and Vimm is a fantastic tool to make it happen!

Let's Record On @threespeak

One of the most important applications on $HIVE is 3speak! The Hive alternative to YouTube has so much to offer creators and with their plans to build the SPK Network, it's a fantastic time to dive in and.....

Record that podcast and live stream that you just did! We use 'Restream' when we go live, and it gives us the option to download the recording of the show. After a few edits, we pop it into 3speak and there you have it :)

I don't think I need to convince you on how important video is to your content creation arsenal....But if you needed more reasons to use 3speak, check out their mobile application that has recently been launched in the App Store for iPhones, and Google Play for Android.

And here's where you can have a lot of fun....

You have options here as well, which I think can really add to the experience for your viewers and readers.

At minimum, you should create a #threadstorm on Leo Threads about your podcast / show. Go over some highlights of the show and break it down into bite sized chunks for your audience.

But you can also do like we do and create a #threadcast for the show when it's live!

Need some proof on how powerful this can be for your show?

This was a Threadcast that we did a few episodes ago. Let's break this down....

We added 131 comments, the audience was VERY engaged! The 177 views of the cast translated into over 3.83 in $LEO buy back ads. And heck, it even generated almost 60 cents in LEO for the wallet!

This is why using Threads is so powerful for content creators. You combine it with the live stream and you will be blown away at how engaged and remarkable your audience will become!

And that's what it comes down to.....

When you create content on the blockchain or off chain for that matter, you want your audience to enjoy the experience. Using these amazing applications, right here on Hive, will allow you to do that with ease.
