"To The Girl in the Mirror"

Know that - I am proud of you. You have weathered storms and hurricanes
without telling your neighbors. You
weep silently. Don't you know you are
a warrior and more than a conqueror?
You have been strong when you could
have just shattered. I am deeply proud
of the woman you have become. You
are authentic. You don't hide in some mask
out of fear. You are unapologetically
yourself. I hope that never changes.

Some days you need a reminder that you
are strong: just like today. I know you are
going through tough seasons but you
still manage to find joy in the mundane.
Girl, I am just beaming with pride. Thank
you for not giving up. For showing up.
For owning who you are. For being
relentless in your pursuit of the truth and
in chasing your dream of dreams.

Love,
your cheerleader who's oh so proud of you, dear one!

Thanks for taking time to read my poem, dear hive friends!✨

Before I end this post, please allow me to leave you with this nugget of wisdom from my LinkedIn subscription:

👉👉In life, I've come to recognize a profound truth that many often overlook: our beliefs, those silent scripts that play on a loop in the theater of our minds, possess an unparalleled power to shape our reality. Have you ever paused to consider the stories you tell yourself? For years, I wore the scars of my parents' divorce like a heavy cloak, allowing it to define my every relationship and cloud my perspective with doubt and mistrust. Each time a conflict arose, it was as if their voices echoed in my mind, whispering tales of inevitable endings and heartbreak.

Why do we hold onto limiting beliefs with such tenacity? For me, it was a protective mechanism, a way to avoid the vulnerability that comes with hope and expectation. By expecting the worst, I believed I was preparing myself for any disappointment. But in reality, I was scripting a self-fulfilling prophecy. Can you relate? Have past traumas colored the canvas of your beliefs, leading you down paths of hesitation and fear?

Amidst the stormy seas of life, let your inner compass guide you towards the bright horizon of your dreams; for in every challenge lies an opportunity waiting to be seized.

The turning point for me was a simple yet profound realization: just as I had the power to internalize a narrative of pain and loss, I also had the power to rewrite it. Think about that for a moment. What if, instead of allowing past traumas to dictate your present and future, you took the pen back into your own hands? We often forget that we are the authors of our own stories, not passive bystanders.

By acknowledging the weight of my past and actively choosing to redefine its meaning, I discovered a transformative liberation. No longer was I a child of divorce, burdened by the fear of repeating history. I became a beacon of resilience, someone who understood the depths of heartbreak but chose love and trust nonetheless. What narratives are you ready to rewrite? What beliefs have shackled your potential, waiting for your decision to set them free?

Your beliefs are not just fleeting thoughts; they are the architects of your experiences and reality. By recognizing and releasing limiting stories, you allow space for empowering beliefs that align with the life you truly desire. Remember, every belief was once a choice, and every moment presents an opportunity for change. So, what will you choose today? Will you remain ensnared in the web of old traumas, or will you embrace the power to shape a brighter, more authentic reality?

In life, there are moments when we're overshadowed by the ghosts of our past, moments where the whispers of old narratives and limiting beliefs threaten to steer our ship. But remember this – you are not just a byproduct of your past, nor are you bound by any outdated script that no longer serves your growth. Your history might have painted certain strokes, but the masterpiece that is your life is still very much a work in progress. What chapters of your story have been written in the ink of fear, doubt, or past traumas? Recognize them, but don't let them dictate the entirety of your tale.

Now, take a deep breath and feel the power that rests within you. Every sunrise presents an opportunity to redefine your narrative, to embrace a renewed perspective. You have the unmatched strength to rewrite any script that holds you back, to channel past pains into wisdom, and to sculpt a future that resonates with your truest aspirations. It's time to reclaim your power, to seize the pen, and author a story brimming with hope, courage, and limitless potential. Stand tall, for you are the master of your destiny, and the world awaits your next chapter with bated breath.
