Tournaments: My newest Splinterlands addiction
Splinterlands is packed with fun, you would be limiting yourself by sticking to ranked battles also.
I have always avoided being part of a guild because I did not understand how it works back then, we can't deny the fact that Splinterlands looks complex from the outside but once you understand the basics, navigating the entire game becomes easier.
So when I eventually became part of a guild, I rarely skipped brawl because it offeres a different kind of fun.
I am now experiencing the same with tournaments which I started taking part in for about 3 weeks now. I have always seen others talk about tournaments and I always feel it might be too tough but I found out, not only am I enjoying tournaments, I am kicking asses to my surprise as I finished 8th in the last tournament and it earned 100 DEC.
I have been looking for ways to earn DEC aside from rentals, I am glad the tournaments are another means of earning DEC even though they are not much, it does add up.
Though it is time-consuming, it is unlikely I will continue playing in tournaments when I start work soon. I will see about that, otherwise, it is fun and offers a way to escape the brutality of ranked battles.

Those tournaments are time consuming but you learn a lot from them. It really helped me learn the game and strategies when I first started.
It is very strategic I have noticed, you don't just put up lineups, you get very strategic.
