How great to be back in this wonderful ¨FungiFridayCommunity¨:  to accompany the weekly invitation from our friend @ewkaw to participate in this incredible ¨FungiFridayContest¨:  a challenge that gives you the opportunity to share with other hivers the varieties of mushrooms that are in the place where you live, and at the same time learn about other types of mushrooms that are in different cities in the world

After my parents separated we moved to a neighborhood far from the city, as it was an expanding place there were many uninhabited lands and undeveloped fields, that is, there were many virgin forests left full of trees, that only meant one thing, a daily adventure of natural exploration. The first time I saw a mushroom on a tree branch I was very surprised, since until then I had only seen mushrooms in the meadow. On this occasion, seeing this type of mushroom made me very happy since I remembered that morning when I discovered this type of mushroom for the first time

Today after many years I know that it is called the mushroom ¨ear¨ of ¨ judas¨ whose scientific name is ¨Auricularia¨¨auricula-judae¨:  It is incredible how things in life are, I would never have thought that after so many years I would feel so much passion for mushrooms, that I would spend many hours a week searching and discovering different species of fungi that inhabit the city's soil

This type of fungus needs moisture to develop and grows in the wood or bark of decaying tree branches. We found the group of mushrooms on the branch of a ceibo tree, a species that lives in this area. We do not usually eat wild mushrooms, otherwise we would take them home to prepare an exquisite meal with them

I have learned from my Mother to follow my instincts, and yesterday I sensed that it might rain at dawn, that made us go in the afternoon in search of mushrooms, luckily we did, since as I write this post the rainwater that falls is hellish. We had a beautiful afternoon while we were looking for mushrooms, we found a family of mushrooms called ¨Polyporaceae¨:  a type of mushroom that has the similarity of a ¨shelf¨, and also has a great variety of mushrooms. From what you can see on the web, it is a species of fungus called ¨Trametes¨¨pubescens¨: as you can see the photographs we took with our camera ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨they develop in branches of fallen trees. If upon seeing this mushroom you intend to take them home to make a recipe with them, don't do it, since they are not edible. This has been another exciting week of mushroom hunting, we found very beautiful varieties

I think you found these mushrooms in the forest, were you bothered by mosquitoes? In my experience, the deeper we go into the forest, the bigger the mosquitoes become. My advice is that if you enter the forest, don't forget to bring mosquito repellent because they really bother us when we are focused. 😂😂

That is true, especially after rainy days you have to be careful with mosquitoes, but in this area there are many mosquitoes with dengue.
Usually when we go to the property we carry repellent.
Thank you very much for this pleasant visit
Have a great day

I don't know why in the rainy season/winter I rarely see this mushroom in my area, unlike during the dry season

This is the first year that mushrooms have been seen in the rainy season, here it is also more common to see mushrooms in the dry season

Yes, even though I miss photographing these mushrooms, it's therapeutic because it's rainy season in my area, I don't see them at all
