Murals, a way to keep memory alive (CCC's Street Art Contest)

Los murales en las calles de mi ciudad crecen con el correr de los años, y cada vez son más los artistas que se suman a esta movida de embellecer nuestras calles

Tuve mi primera cámara aun siendo un niño, por lo que podría decir que hago tomas fotográficas hace muchos años de mi vida; las primeras fotografías fueron de rostros y situaciones familiares, y a medida que iba creciendo fui cambiando mi enfoque, pero tengo que admitir, que desde mi llegada a #hive, mis tomas fotográficas han cambiado por completo, ahora me intereso por todo y hago una toma a todo lo que llama mi atención.

I had my first camera even when I was a child, so I could say that I have been taking photographs for many years of my life; The first photographs were of familiar faces and situations, and as I grew older I changed my focus, but I have to admit that since my arrival at #hive, my photographic takes have completely changed, now I am interested in everything and I take a shot to everything that catches my attention.

Me encanta hacer fotografías de la naturaleza, pero también me gusta mucho las tomas urbanas, es la razón para no poderme resistir hacer fotografías de un edificio, sobre todo cuando en el plano puedo incluir algo de la naturaleza. Las tomas de este post confirman mis palabras, en ellas hay una clara presencia de la naturaleza y el arte urbano

I love taking photographs of nature, but I also really like urban shots, which is the reason I can't resist taking photographs of a building, especially when I can include some of nature. The shots in this post confirm my words, in them there is a clear presence of nature and urban art

Somos una familia que nos gusta los paseos, y cada vez que podemos estar juntos aprovechamos para salir a caminar, algo que aprovechamos para darle a conocer algunos lugares de la ciudad a nuestra nieta. En esta ocasión decidimos caminar por un barrio histórico, pasamos frente a un antiguo edificio que está en recuperación que perteneció a la ¨penitenciaria¨, pero como está ubicada justo en la entrada de la ciudad, decidieron que era mejor mudar la institución a otro lugar y recuperar el edificio. Estaba tan entretenido haciendo fotografías de edificios y palmeras, que si no fuera por Abigail me hubiera perdido este hermoso mural. La obra se llama ¨Tu¨¨ Voz¨:  y es una creación en homenaje a una persona que hizo mucho por el periodismo de mi ciudad

We are a family that likes walks, and every time we can be together we take the opportunity to go for a walk, something we take advantage of to introduce our granddaughter to some places in the city. On this occasion we decided to walk through a historic neighborhood, we passed in front of an old building that is being recovered that belonged to the "penitentiary", but since it is located right at the entrance to the city, they decided that it was better to move the institution to another place and recover the building. I was so busy taking pictures of buildings and palm trees, that if it weren't for Abigail I would have missed this beautiful mural. The work is called ¨Your¨¨ Voice¨:  and it is a creation in tribute to a person who did a lot for journalism in my city

Este hermoso y colorido mural es del ¨artista¨¨plástico¨ llamado ¨Alejandro¨¨Pizarro¨:  una obra que deja ver a cientos de personas hablando, y varios iconos de la ciudad como es nuestro imponente puente. La verdad no me sorprende el nombre ni los detalles del mural, ya que es un homenaje a un ¨comunicador¨ ¨público¨, un ser que hizo mucho por el ¨periodismo¨ local, aunque la fama le alcanzó siendo ¨corresponsal¨ de ¨guerra¨ fuera del país. Dimos con esta hermosa obra mientras caminábamos por la calle ¨Belgrano¨ al 400, a unas cuatro cuadras de llegar a la costanera. La obras es tan grande que no he podido hacer una toma completa de frente, pero escogí esta toma para el ¨CCC's Street Art Contest¨:  porque creo que es la toma que más detalles muestra del mural. Muy agradecido con mi amigo @digi-me por esta genial iniciativa

This beautiful and colorful mural is by the “plastic artist” called ¨Alejandro¨¨Pizarro¨:  a work that allows hundreds of people to see people talking, and various icons of the city such as our imposing bridge. The truth is that I am not surprised by the name or the details of the mural, since it is a tribute to a "public communicator", a being who did a lot for local "journalism", although he gained fame as a "correspondent" of war outside the country. We came across this beautiful work while we were walking along 400 Belgrano Street, about four blocks from reaching the waterfront. The work is so big that I couldn't take a full front shot, but I chose this shot for the ¨CCC's Street Art Contest¨:  because I think it is the shot that shows the most details of the mural.
