At first I thought it was the "resin" of the tree, and it could be if this were a "pine" tree, but since this is a specimen called "ceibo", it is not possible that it is "resin". In my research I discovered that it could be a gelatinous "fungus" of the genus scientifically called ¨Heterobasidiomycetes¨: I cannot say exactly what variety it is, since this genus houses several types of “gelatinous” mushrooms. From what you can see, they are types of fungi that develop on the bark of tree trunks and branches. From what I could read, they are edible mushrooms, but to be honest, I don't feel like taking this one to the kitchen to prepare something with them
