Influencers have a high impact on a nation's gross domestic product

Influencers have been studied over time by followers and have significantly impacted lives, directly or indirectly. These influencers are often contracted either part-time or full-time to promote brands, as they would like to experience wide acceptance among followers or the public. Influencers put in a lot of effort to become one, sometimes going out of their way.

About a year ago, I got a Facebook notification that my friends list was almost 5000, which was the maximum, and I had to delete some people whom I felt I did not know directly or whose absence would not be missed. Perhaps I had the prospect of having many friends or those interested in my views.

A brand is likened to an identity, one that people are attracted to. Brands are oftentimes packaged beyond the actual state of a commodity; however, it could be in its natural form. We can have a commodity produced by different manufacturers, and probably the packaging may differentiate into brands. Thus, brands are vital to promoting their views or businesses.

If, thus, I had the prowess of influencing a large crowd of people to use a brand, there are certain criteria I would look out for before promoting such brands.

A.) INDIGENOUS BRANDS
I am a proud Nigerian, and I support and encourage every product by Nigerians. Patronizing goods made in Nigeria would encourage the producers to give their best as well as contribute to the growth of the economy by increasing the gross domestic product (GDP) of Nigeria. Undoubtedly, we have a long way to go in matching production when compared to Western society, but promoting locally made products in Nigeria would be a yardstick for improvement.

B.) HEALTH PROMOTION BENEFITS
Rather than produce anything for the sake of making gains, I would influence brands that promote good health benefits and lifestyles. The wealth of a nation is dependent on the health of its people. Brands like netting (e.g., mosquito nets), insecticides and antiseptics, and fresh and balanced foods are going to be a major criterion when promoting brands.

C.) AFFORDABILITY AND QUALITY
Nigeria still battles with unemployment and poverty. Rather than put more financial burden on the populace, I would prefer to promote brands that are affordable and have significant quality. These brands are expected to make life easier for those who patronize them. These brands are likely to sell faster than those with high prices.

D.) PROSPECT OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Any brand that has the potential to lift people out of poverty and unemployment will be preferentially supported by me. These brands are most likely such that they would involve the common people and make many hands involved.

I hope to be known as an influencer who is accessible, friendly, and has the interests of my followers at heart. I am not working to become an influencer yet, but I believe my impact on humanity has and will bless me with fans and followers that will encourage me.
