Splinterlands Weekly Challenge Battle BATTLE MAGE SECRETS! Stampede

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a rule set using a specific card and on this week's post it is a battle with the Stampede rule set. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is Stampede and Unprotected. This means that any monsters with trample can continue until it doesn't kill a monster and there is no armor in this fight. There is also 34 mana available and I am left with the choice of water, life, death, and dragon splinter.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Possibilus the Wise. In a match like this, I think that +2 health, trample, and reach are good abilities to match the ruleset. With this, my melee monsters can deal as much damage as possible.

Total Mana:34

My plan is just to have a lineup using a fast lineup and have my melee monsters deal as much damage as I can. I have inspire, resurrect and swiftness there to help out. I have a dodge monster in the last spot for those sneak monsters.

Round 1

round 1.png

At first glance, I have the advantage due to the speed difference but things can definitely go wrong if I lose my melee monsters. The trample ability from my summoner will definitely help. The only dangerous thing is that bloodlust monster but with the speed difference, I shouldn't have any issues unless I miss too much. My summoner giving me trample allows me to take advantage of the stampede ruleset.

Round 2

round 2.png
My first round went well and I took out two of my opponent's monsters. I can still lose if I miss but with how things are, I should be fine. My opponent doesn't have many monsters

conclusion.png
I didn't miss too many attacks and I was able to take out my opponent the same round.

Conclusion

The battle did go as I expected but I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the stampede ruleset. The abilities worked exactly as I wanted and I was able to take out my opponent. There was a chance for stampede to wipe out all of the monsters but my Diemonshark missed, but either way, I was able to win without too much trouble due to the speed difference between my cards. The inspire and resurrect did help to make sure that my melee monsters were able to deal enough damage. My opponent relied on magic monsters and bloodlust but my opponent wasn't able to really kill my cards fast enough.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players play in a ruleset.

Possibilius is unbelievable. You completely blew away that guy before he could string up two or three attack. Unbelievable

Yea. It can be quite useful depending on the battle and the lineup. Focusing on speed is required when using Possibilus because you can't deal enough damage if you can't attack.
