Brawl Report #61 - Won half of my fights
Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. Rebellion has also changed the battles and I just keep losing my fights recently. I did accomplish a good result this time around because I was able to win half of my fights and that is a rare occurence.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern brawl and got 3 wins. My rewards for the brawl were 3,833 merits and 30.318 SPS in the 4 star category. My guild ranked 6th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. We didn't place very high but the SPS rewards were definitely amazing this time around.
Brawl fights
There were 3 fights that I won and 3 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.
You can find the first match here. I won this match and the choice to use a shield tank with a repair monster. Combined with my summoner, I was able to delay my opponent from killing off my backline and I was able to kill off monster with my bloodlust monster.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match and I couldn't really do much against the demoralize and thorns combination. My opponent also had repair so it was hard for me to kill off the monsters fast enough.
You can find the third match here. I won this match because I had repair. After I took out the taunt monster, my opponent could not damage me anymore.
You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I was using flying monsters. My opponent did survive quite a while but I was able to dodge quite a few attacks and that was the entire reason why I won. All those protect make it a long drawn out fight and I would just say that I was lucky.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and my opponent outplayed me. The heal monsters just outlasted me and my opponent out damaged me.
You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match and my opponent outplayed me. My opponent had a level advantage and he also had more damage than me.
Conclusion
I think doing 6 fights for 3,833 merits and 30.318 SPS is a pretty good reward for the effort. It's the first time in a while since I haven't lost most of my matches. This time I won half of my matches and this was unexpected even for me because I was in a 4 star brawl. I pretty much had a level disadvantage and I was able to build a good enough strategy for some of the fights.

I made a mistake on the title and corected it, but I did do decent this time around. 50% win rate is a great thing to have.

Great win in some of the games. I see you prefered the Kelya Fredul in some of your matches and to be very honest it's a formidable summoner. 30 SPS is sweet, the guild is underrated.
Yea. That Keyla is powerful. The 4 star brawls gives quite a bit of SPS and I made a mistake in my post. It was suppose to be 90 SPS. I'll definitely make sure to double check next time.

I lost every battle. This time I was terrible...
I would like to take this opportunity to ask you, is that lately I've been creating posts on InLeo about Splinterlands, but Splintertalk doesn't appear on the Splintertalk website... what do you think I'm doing wrong?
The tags are almost the same as the ones you are using too. Would I have to choose the Splinterlands community before publishing the post? Well, I think it was the only thing I didn't do.
In order to be there, I think you need the splinterlands or spt tag. If you post directly in the Splinterlands community, then it should automatically qualify as well. I don't think you need to publish directly there to show up though.
I did get a comment recently asking me to put my splinterlands content in the Splinterlands community rather than the InLeo tag. So I have been doing that recently and I can still earn LEO if I publish it in the right community using the InLEO front-end.
Well... I don't know what I'm doing wrong... well, maybe tomorrow I'll make a Splinterlands post and try to see if it works.
