A Night of Friendship, Food, and Fun
Have you ever experienced a dinner that perfectly encapsulated the warmth of friendship, the joy of shared food, and the excitement of games? Recently, my friends and I had the pleasure of attending such an evening at our dear friend's house located in Busay, a mountain barangay in Cebu City. It was an overlooking with very cold weather.
Each of us brought along a dish to share. We had some salmon and tuna sashimi, while my other friends brought pizza, pastries, and a fried chicken cooked in a "pinaupo style". The host for the evening prepared shrimp pasta cooked in tomato paste and a tomahawk pork chop. While we waited for our husbands to prepare our dinner, we made our way to play our favorite pastime game, which is mahjong. We had a lot of things to discuss, including our plan to travel to Thailand this year. Without hesitation, we booked our tickets to Thailand that night, marking our first international trip with the gang!
Of course, no house dinner would be complete without a few drinks to toast to friendship and good times. Whether it was a glass of wine or a refreshing cocktail, each sip seemed to enhance the magic of the night, filling us with a sense of contentment and gratitude for the moments we were sharing together.
So here's to more house dinners, more laughter, and more unforgettable memories with friends. Because in the end, it's not the extravagance of the occasion that matters, but the love and laughter we share along the way.
Cheers to friendship, and to our future trip together!
