Old School TE Days!!
Remeber the days when Traffic Exchanges were
so popular and the Main source of traffic for all your
advertising.
Those were some great times. Don't get me wrong I love the web3
traffc exploring sites such as CTPX
Which you should definetly check out!!
But those old school TE's that had all the cool designs going on.
Sites like iLoveHits, DragonSurf, TrafficTaxis, StartXChange, and of course many more.
It was a wonderful time in my life meeting all kinds of amazing people in the traffic exchange game. Have so many great memories
interacting and with TE owners and users.
Of course all of you who I have connected with via hive etc. are amazing as well. I love reading and seeing all of you reaching your goals and achieving success online.
Anyways I was just reminiscing about the good old TE days!!
And I didn't even mention mailers!! That's for another post. :)

A pleasant design is always a selling point to a good TE. I like a good Themed TE that plays heavily on it's theme and draws you in till you don't even realise it's actually about the traffic!
Yes exactly!! That the way I always looked at it. :)
For me would be great members who actually take the time to read your ad and if they show interest they click through, and if no interest just click the captcha and move on. But what I am noticing is that surfers are to busy surfing for credits to look at your ad, so nobody but that minimal members who take the time. For me I could care less about themes, designs, etc...the more boring it looks its probably better than those shiny things.
I've owned a few TE in my life, and that is exactly what I noticed when looking through the back office. What was even worse that got me to just stop owning them, and I still own the scripts today is the majority sign up, use up the free stuff and never return, unless I give more free stuff. They got the birdie finger asap. Not saying I am the best admin, I am far from that. But I can truly say that I am better than the majority of today. To many shit head owners.
To be fair, as a TE user, historically, I tended to 'do my quota'. What makes me pause and look is something that grabs my attention. Too many banners, text ads, promo's, etc and I see a page as desperate without any merit. I literally ignore referral links, and, I don't post them. I also ignore 'insert your email' pages. Funnels are designed wrong and give the email recipient no information and no cause for trust. Today, I only use CTPX and I don't even use it for referrals or the free CTP, cuz I don't care about referral drips and who needs 20-40 CTP when you have 24k Staked? I only use it to show my CTPTalk posts. In fact, that's what I pay attention to on CTPX. Is it a new post? If it is, I'll usually pop it out and take a gander and like or comment if I feel I have an opinion on the post.
I agree my friend. Many posts that go through CTPX rotation I also pop out so I can have a read. I try my best to support my community of hive, and CTP.
Right now I am trying mailers. Doesn't look so brite either, lol.
You have 24K CTP staking? I have under 300CTP. With hive I am growing my saving with HBD, so I can collect that 20%, ANd i'm in the middle of swapping swapBTC to swapHive so I can start that game dcrop. Lets see if I can be a digital farmer.

I bought one common farm in decrops and each season I'm buying one or more seeds depending on how long it takes them to grow and how much time is left in the season. When we get through the year and I'm back to the beginning again I might buy a second farm. I'm in it for the casual not to try and become a farming kingpin.

Despite the issues that shook the industry, I did enjoy my time with the old school TE's I as well got to know people from around the world.
The sad thing is that I came back online for the relaunch of ListNerds, and as I was promoting on some of the sites that remained stable after PayPal, I realized that some of them did not change at all.
It was a bit disturbing.

I agree TE were once good, but the majority of them today are just garbage. To many cheaters, to many zombie clickers. I have stopped using them all in last 3 or 4 months. And if I find one that I am still member of I use up all my credits, and once they done I delete my account. They all suck these days.
The only TE I am using right now is CTPX. The credits for ads is not so important for me even though I have an ad or 2 which i believe are my blog/imagies so I can get likes, and earn something. But thats not working either. To me thats ok if it does work. My money doesn't come from TE. What counts for me is $$$ not credits.
Is that what CTPX and List Nerds are, they a web3 program? I use both. When I stopped using TE I moved on to mailers, yes testing them out. I am starting to feel the same about mailers as TE's LOL. I think once I get sick of advertising to the dead, I will just stop advertising period. I have no need to advertise anything.
But I did find something that I really enjoy with Hive. No need for referrals, advertising, not even content writing, not liking/commenting but I do hit the likes when I do like something, and I comment on good topics. I jjust want to build up my HBD saving and collect that dividends every 29 days.
But, I am only here to give my opinion about TE's. I know I will most likily get a zombie clicker try to prove me wrong. But those zombies i ignore, they can't have real estate in my mind, they never paid for it. LOL.
But if you guys ove TE of today, thats great. I don't lol.
I agree. I don't use TE's anymore. I use some mailers. I'm not sure if web 3 is correct.
I just class any sites using the blockchain as web3. I could be wrong though. I usually am. lol
I really like hive. I just really like to share my hiking and outdoor adventures with everyone.
Back in the day TE's worked for me and met some great people. It was a different time back then. The wild west of the internet. :)
