This post marks the eighth #forthelord posts, forming a simple discipline of praying, reading scripture and sharing what was learned online. There are three steps:
- Pray - Prayer is our talking to the Lord.
- Read - We read to hear Him.
- Share - Use the #forthelord tag on your posts or videos in Social media.
Pray and Seek
Most High
Creator God
Please be merciful upon your servants
That though we be unworthy
You show your great favor
Upon those who seek Your Face
And seek for the narrow path
And when gone astray are led back
And strengthened in Your Love
And we shall be known
by our love for one another
That we do not hate our brother in our hearts
But do well for those who despise us
And seek after Your Reign
When Your Righteousness fills the earth
Maranatha!

Read and Listen
What shall I answer thee?
I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
once have I spoken; but I will not answer:
Yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
After all the conversations between Job and his friends, and Job is criticized for claiming he's righteous, Job ceases speaking. This final remark is only the words above. And once Job says he cannot say any more... that's when God speaks.
It seems the lesson here is to silence yourself from speaking, and let God speak. And He will have the final say.
I will lay my hand over my mouth.
When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable,
But one who restrains his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19
Let us restrain our lips!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
