Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to machine-based systems that can, given a set of human-defined objectives, make predictions, recommendations, or decisions that influence real or virtual environments. AI systems interact with us and act on our environment, either directly or indirectly. Often, they appear to operate autonomously, and can adapt their behaviour by learning about the context.

It might help to save a lot of human error, but it's implications on developing economy are severe

Artificial Intelligence is a technology with tendency of increasing the level of productivity which results in increase in output of goods and services. The advent of AI helps in transforming input-output relationship. But there's an adverse effects of Artificial Intelligence on the developing Economy. A developing economy is an economy that is characterized by low per capita income, overpopulation, low human development index, poor infrastructure, agro-based economy and a lower rate of capital formation. A developing economies are already struggle with high rate of unemployment so embracing an artificial intelligence which is a machine-base system stands to increase her rate of unemployment at an increasing side as the majority of people will remain in perpetual unemployment.

Adoption of of artificial intelligence in a developing economy has an adverse affects

• Increasing the rate of Unemployment as most human labour are been taking by Robot: Developing economy like Nigeria are still faced with with high rate of Unemployment which is currently at 37.7% unemployment rate. Meanwhile, the introduction of AI photo editor has sent many people whose job was editing photos for a living. certainly, this has already caused about 0.03% of unemployment because with your device, you can edit your photos within a second. The agricultural sector provide over 75% employment rate to developing economy because it's a traditional base economy and sent it's excess labor to industrial sector.
  

There are Some research ongoing which point out that in the next 10 years, the jobs most likely to be replaced by AI include translation, driver and other jobs, about 50% of the workers will be affected by AI.

• Low labour creativity: There's an increase in technological dependency making Labors less creativity, no room for critical thinking because there technologies or robots to do them. Another challenge of developing economy is brain drain which is the migration of educated or talented people from less economically advanced areas to more economically advanced areas, especially to large cities or richer countries. The developing Economy is known to feed on technological innovations sent by developed economy, thereby making them over dependent and vulnerable to artificial intelligence inventions, rather than engaging in innovative ideas.

• Technology dependent: Though technological advancement is synonymous to increase in capital and productivity, but an economy that labour intensive, when feed with more of artificial intelligence will led to technology dependent which results in low labour productivity, creativity and technology addiction, resulting in irritability and agitation.

• Increasing inequality gab between the rich and the poor: The artificial intelligence lead to an increased in the inequality gab as result of replacing labour with technologies which led to a demand for technological base or investment robots instead of improving local economy which consume more labour resulting in reduction in Gross domestic product of the developing Economy.
