X Account Analytics [A Quick Review]
My X account is 7 years old. It was used mainly for airdrop hunting during the bounty days until I cleaned it out sometime in 2021 if my memory serves me right. Then I started using it to share more of Hive content in 2022 until my activities dropped altogether this year. The account had over 1k followers before but it dropped to just a little over 900+ now.
And the impressions on my posts were very low - only 1.3k over the 83 days from July to September (an average of 15 a day) with an engagement rate of 6.1%. I had not been showing up on the platform nor creating content consistently so what do I expect, lol!
Then came the Zealy marketing campaign initiated by InLeo. I'm sure we are aware that the initiative aims to introduce Hive to more people through Web 2 channels and that includes X. It meant doing certain activities on Elon's platform (i.e. reposting other people's content, engaging with them, or attending Spaces and interacting with others).
The first outreach campaign started on September 11th, the second on October 9th, and the 3rd (currently ongoing) started on the 29th of November. My Tweet activity during those 83 days is better but still low. 12,300 impressions only with an engagement rate of 6.2% and around 150 impressions per day.
Half of those total impressions were earned during my Premium subscription period on X which also coincided with the second leg of the Zealy campaign which increased my activities at least. I'd say most of these impressions were from my participation.
Without it, I doubt that there was any growth at all even with the blue tick mark on my account. I think most of the interactions I did were in the Spaces that I was able to attend.
Knowing that I wouldn't be able to spend more time and sustain any activities on the platform, I decided to cancel the subscription. It just doesn't make sense to be paying it but I can't even dedicate some time to create content there. It's like spending something for nothing.
For a better comparison, below are the numbers for the previous month (29th September to 28 October) before having the blue tick. I was not actively creating content within that period but I was commenting on a few people's threads or posts (not every day though).
The chart indicated that my posts during that month earned 2.5k views, with an average of 80 impressions per day. It is expected since I was inactive on most days except when I got the chance to visit and reply to people.
Conclusion
Just like any other social media and content creation platform, I think engagement and showing up consistently are needed to grow one's account on X. It requires time and effort. One would not expect to gain impressions and followers without going out there and doing the work. If someone has cracked the code without doing much, do share, lol!
With my sporadic activities and very limited interactions, my X account has not been growing well. I was an absentee from the platform and I wasn't really doing something to grow it. Hopefully, I will be able to spare more time and do better next year.

A Good way to bring some traffic.
I'm like eligible for the x payouts and monetization but stripe ain't available so can't apply.. was a good experiment with X premium.

In the past I also created and account just for your drop purpose but after joining Hive I created another one and I became active there but when Leothreads came to my life, my activity in X almost stopped.
If only we can have more time, then we can probably do better hehe.

So true, without being active and without participation the account is destined to remain stagnant, sometimes I would like to be more present in my account but with so much work I find it difficult, besides Im more focus on Hive but it is a goal I have for this year 2024 and I would like to set myself, as a long term goal.
