There are various and interesting ways to earn in the crypto space, some do not even require one to spend a cent. Applications and platforms exist that allow people to do things and earn in the form of cryptocurrency. I believe most of us have heard of these:

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), there's another field that opened up, Train-to-Earn. Solana's Synesis One Workspace is making that possible and today, let's take a look at how it does that.

Brief Intro to Synesis One

Synesis One is a Web3 data utility and NFT marketplace for AI. It is the symbiosis of SynesisDAO and Kanon Exchange, powered by our governance token, Synesis, and semi-fungible data token, Kanon which can be traded on its own exchange.¹

It is a data crowdsourcing platform that runs on smart contracts. Its mission statement is to "give everyone around the world an opportunity to train AI and earn crypto." The platform aims to build a large web3 community that can crowdsource diverse and high-quality datasets to power AI applications."² It operates on Solana and plans to deploy on other chains in the future.

Anyone can earn $SNS actively and passively through the Synesis One Workspace by completing micro-tasks that train AI. The app, according to Synesis, is the very first project to incentivize the transparency of AI data collection.

The application is available on Android, iOS and can be accessed through desktop browsers.

The platform connects corporate clients in need of AI training data with crowdsourced human intelligence to provide it. The company raised $9.5 million to fund the development of the platform and data ecosystem.³

Per the data on their site, there had been 278.1k data points submitted, 590.4k validations, 122.7k fully-validated data points, 22.3 million SNS rewarded, and 697 campaigns completed.

Train AI. Earn SNS.

According to the FAQ from their Discord, Train2 Earn is the process of sharing your knowledge on everyday topics to help train AI. Topics might range from ordering pizza to shopping in a grocery store, and more.

How?

Choose a campaign, provide raw data/data labeling/data annotation, and earn SNS when your data is deemed valid by the community (Validators).

Note: It is not free to access the workspace.

  • One needs to stake Kanon (the official NFT of Synesis One, more about it below)

  • Join a guild in the Synesis One ecosystem.

    Guilds consist of "managers who lend Kanon NFTs to new players in exchange for a percentage of their earnings. This allows new builders to get started without having to put up capital. Users can start earning SNS right away, with the ability to withdraw funds and convert to fiat."⁴

  • Through the Train2own program (not yet live)

    This program allows people without capital to start training AI and earning crypto rewards but the SNS earned cannot be withdrawn or converted to fiat. They are instead used to unlock (purchase) a Kanon NFT which a user gets as his own after it's been fully paid. After doing so, the user can then withdraw SNS, stake it in liquidity pools, or sell it for fiat.

    To do this, join the Synesis One Discord channel and request an access code. When you got it, "go to Synesis One and log in using your email address, enter the access code when prompted, and you're ready to train the AI. Note that you won't need SNS or SOL tokens while you're participating in the train2own program."⁵

Once you have an access code, you can now start your adventure!

Accessing the Synesis One Workspace on Browser

  • Go to Synesis One and click on "Start on Browser."


  • Connect your wallet

    Supported: Phantom, Nightly, Solflare, Ledger, Backpack, Exodus, Slope, Glow, Web3Auth.


  • Sign the message on your wallet to access the workspace


  • Choose your role:

    ❇️Architect if you want to create a campaign;
    ❇️Builder if you want to train the AI by providing data;
    ❇️Validator if you want to be a validator.

Kanon NFT

Kanon NFTs serve as an entry ticket to the Train2Earn app and also allow the owner to earn passive income.⁴ Each NFT represents a unique word and every time the word is used or accessed by Mind AI clients, the owner of the NFT gets rewards.⁶

The Kanon NFTs are not your average profile picture NFTs. They provide both an active and passive income source. You can own a word, train AI, and make money. All Kanon NFT holders are entitled to receive claimable SNS, Synesis DAO's governance token, based on how frequently the underlying keyword is accessed by AI companies to help train their conversational models.⁷

The current NFT collection called "The Aquarius" is created with a hand-selected list of 10k of the most commonly used English words. These NFTs can be bought or sold on Kanon Exchange, on Magic Eden, and BitMart NFT Marketplace.

Train2Earn sounds new topic to me but I understand it after reading this post. AI still needs many improvements and through Train2Earn AI will improve more. A smart way to train AI by giving some token.

I tend not to dig anymore on sites like this because most of the time the token drop by 99% in value. The supply is too high and the people drop the token...

Then do remember you're already providing the blockchain with some update that people from outside hive can also enjoy.

Since we “write to earn” - I will add my comment. Haha
Can anyone provide corporate data or is it corporation providing this data?
It seems as though AI will need retraining depending on how biased the data shared os or could be.

Anyone who has access to the platform - individual users like us. They have guidelines on what are acceptable data and such.
