Thursday's Detours

Thursday's Detours.png

We went for a spin yesterday to the neighboring town and the other province. It was scorching hot and it was pretty difficult to breathe when outdoors but we braved it anyway.

We wanted to visit a friend's greenhouse that is being set up to be fully automated and we took a detour for some adventure. We crossed borders and passed through green and brown fields along the way.

After driving for more than an hour, we sighted one of the weather radars standing tall and proud in the middle of the fields. It indicated we were already in the Mountain Province area. The radar has become a landmark in that place.

We had a quick stop to look around and then went on to the journey, passing by more farms and greenhouses. They are not a common sight where we live because there are more mountains and jungles to see than open fields like these.

We observed that there were no people in the fields. The husband believed the farmers might be working in the evening and early morning only since the sun's heat is so unbearable during the day. I couldn't help but compare that place to ours and realized that we are blessed to be breathing fresher and cooler air than people there do.

Anyhow, we drove further and passed by the Upside Down Homestay and Cafe, or the inverted house as they call it. While it was almost lunchtime, we were not hungry yet so we decided to check out the nearby places first and then come back to the cafe later for a bite.

While the fields were vast, there were not many houses around. It's expected being in the countryside. Some had theirs at the top of the hills, others in the middle of the fields.

There were not many motorists either, but we caught up with one along the way.

Some 5 minutes or so, we arrived at the "Pasnaan View Deck" where we took shelter from the sun under the newly installed makeshift hut.

I like it when the weather is warm or hot, but not when in the middle of a place where there are no trees to cool the lungs.

We spent time under the shade overlooking the community below. Had some drinks, and then took photos afterwards. The sunlight was so bright and without any sunglasses, it was pretty challenging to take good ones. So forgive me for these shots.

Our wee pup had his photos taken with the scary sculptures, lol! Actually, it's quite ingenious and fascinating what they did with those pieces, although they might frighten some people, haha!

And yes, I should mention that the place needs more greening work. There were a few plants but they were too dry which is understandable because it's the summer and water can be scarce. We hope that one day, when we pass by that place again, we'll see thriving greens and perhaps, blooming flowers too.

From there, we took another route and drove to the cafe where we enjoyed a lovely lunch which I may share next time because this post already has a gazillion photos😅

Surely the plants are a bit dry because they are not in the rainy season and calmly you are not the only one who suffocates not having more trees nearby to cool off, the same thing happens to me. I really enjoyed the tour you shared with us today.

Yes, hopefully, they will thrive and grow robustly when the rainy day comes. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

If I were in your place, I might sleep in home rather than going outside in a hot sunny day. It seems you enjoyed it and that's enough.

But but but Didn't you notice there is a text "I❤️U" . I am curious to know who written it😅. !LOL

Indeed :)

And I think they serve the purpose quite well, haha. I wonder how it is during the night and someone passes by the place, !LOL
