This & That and a Lot More

Magandang buhay everyone!

Friday here and writing this on my sister's couch. At 6 in the morning, a water pump roared in the outside. It made me wanna scream. At 7, a really loud music is heard in the neighborhood. "My gully, if I'd stay another morning here, I'd go mad!" That was just my thoughts running ballistic.

But it made me appreciate the peace and quiet of our lil kingdom all the more. I smiled by the thought of it and had the 'can't-wait-to-be-home' feeling. I wonder how people in this place make it each day without going crazy. "They're used to it..." the other voice inside my head explained. Yeah. Maybe. They just have to.

Anyhow, what's making you smile today?

Me? Simply waking up to this brand new day and the adventure we're headed to.

On Wednesday night, the husband suddenly thought of going for a ride. I had been wanting a road trip for a while so I said yes without any second thoughts. We drove away from home early on Thursday, dropping by at an aunt's place for some chitchat. Then we went to Stone Kingdom soon after where I feel like a kid who found her own play house (will share more about it at another time).

The rain came early while we were still halfway exploring the place so the adventure was cut short but I was happy to have set foot there. The trip had me grinning ear to ear.

Today, we are visiting some farms and greenhouses elsewhere. I do not know what to expect really but I'm quite anxious and excited. This is a drive to a new place where we have never been to before so I'm not only looking forward to seeing our intended destination but many things along the way too. You can imagine my eyes are already twinkling!

Well, that and many others make me feel grateful and yes, smiling too. From waking up healthy each morning, to greetings from friends, and my favorites — a kiss, a hug, the Farmboy cooking and prepping our meals, among other things. These are the best and I wouldn't exchange for anything else.

What else?

Food and treats! Ice cream you say? I wouldn't say no to that especially when it's chocolate. Talk about having a sweet tooth!

Add to that, a good aromatic coffee! We usually brew black with less sugar at home, but from time to time when we are out, we indulge in other flavors too, like this vanilla latte which we had the other day.

And oh, flowers! Every bloom excites. What can I say? They add life to the soul.

And last but surely not the least, good weather! A sunny day and warm morning almost always make me say "Yay!"

And the good thing is that they are free. Nature's gifts I say.
