Taking on the Z Challenge

I am one who usually declines challenges - well, at least it started after I quit the 9-5 lifestyle. Perhaps (I thought) it was my way of saying 'yes' to myself. But then, it got to a point where I was missing good stuff and more importantly, personal growth.

I said 'No' to a few opportunities here on Hive because it felt 'right' to do so. Then I realized taking on some challenges can be an enriching experience too.

The last Zealy event initiated by Leo has proven that to be true. Although there were many things I was NOT able to do then _{(like making videos, talking in the AMA, and others because I wasn't ready and I do not know when I will ever be)}, having participated has been a great learning curve. I came face-to-face with some things about myself that I need to work on.

Wait, why am I even talking about this?

Well, because there's another challenge to take on this time around. The Outreach Campaign by Leo is live on Zealy. You are aware of it, yes? If you are not, where the hell have you been hiding? Lol!

Outreach Campaign

Leo is gamifying the experience of Hive users who are willing to help promote and welcome new comers to the social side of this blockchain.

If you want to learn something, maybe have fun, connect with people, and 'earn' in the process, I invite you to take this journey with us and let's discover more of our strengths, our limits (do we really have them?) and perhaps face some of our fears too.

How?

Come aboard the Hive community on Zealy and let's get on with the quests which started on the 11th. At the time of this writing, there were only about 400+ people participating (based on the leaderboard).

The missions start from simple tasks (i.e. replying to a thread, reblogging Hive content, creating a thread, liking a tweet, etc.) and then it becomes a little more challenging towards the end of the campaign.

Prizes (Benefits)

Per my previous experience, we can benefit from this endeavor in more ways than one.

• A Shot at the 5k HBD Prize Pool

  As we complete missions, we rank up the leaderboard and get the chance to win and share from the prize pool in this September campaign.

  2,500 HBD will be shared amongst the top 10% of the leaderboard and the remaining 2,500 HBD will be distributed to the next top 11-30% so I think we have a great shot at winning some HBD, yeah?
  
  

• Content may get curated

  Based on the previous Zealy campaign, some quests involve creating long-form posts and/or threads and I believe it is no different this time. So our content may (not guaranteed) get curated depending on quality. We can also share them on threads or X (formerly Twitter) via the outreach initiative and they may get upvotes from leo.voter and its trails.
  
  

• We can grow our network

  Since the campaign involves socializing with other people, we can build our connections, all while increasing our activities and also helping to grow Hive.
  
  

• Fun & Experience

  This is where the most benefit is, in my opinion. Through the various types of things we do in the quests, we can have fun and may be able to discover things about ourselves that we do not know yet, learn stuff, or simply gain more experiences and enhance our competitiveness.

  Personally, I'm approaching this adventure a bit differently. I wanna win (of course), but it wouldn't be the main motivation. Instead, it would be another chance to learn from others, work on the things that I'm afraid of, face my demons, and find out how far my patience and resolve can go.
