Some Booth Gardens

"Interesting! What are they supposed to be?" I heard my niece murmuring with much curiosity while we were exploring the Adivay grounds some time ago. "Oh, I think they are worms or probably caterpillars!" she continued. "Which ones?" I asked and she pointed at these two giant stuff along the sides of the mini-terraces in one of the booths.

I don't recall which town created this display but it's quite creative of them. These captures were all taken by the farmboy, by the way as I was carrying our lil Anyeong at that time.

The idea was that each town in the region (there are 13 towns) had its own space where it showcased unique products, tourist spots, or landmarks that they are known for. Some of them went the extra mile and built replicas of their rice terraces and such.

Others had a more toned-down or low-key approach and created a landscape out of various cacti and succulents. It was just good people were careful (disciplined) not to step on them even when they did not have barriers or fences around.

One of the towns had a mini-garden with a mix of ornamentals, veggies, fruits, and what else. On a different occasion (if there weren't many people around), I would have taken a seat and spent marveling at the beauty of the surroundings.

One made a hill out of rocks, moss, foxtails, ferns, and some exotic shrubs among other things. It made me wonder how much time they spent creating them and making the space look alive and thriving.

One went for a different theme with lights, hanging lamps, and all. They had seating spaces out of upcycled truck tires. People were free to sit in them, take pictures, or simply take some time to rest or just be and observe the comings and goings around.

It's quite nice that they have variations so not every place is the same.

To my fascination, I saw a pineapple fruiting for the first time. While I have one plant in our yard and it has been there for a few years already, it has never bear any fruit yet.

Here's to share some more shots taken during that day. I have also included the others in my post, Gardens and Passions.

Although the festival has concluded, I heard that the booths are still there which is good so people can enjoy them further. It's quite a waste if they will be dismantled so soon.

The booths by the way were entered into a contest and I've not been able to check who won the top prizes. The event is held annually so will see how things are going to be next year.

Hope you get to start planting some :) I have the tiny ones at the other house because the barrels rot after the husband watered them 😂

I especially liked the second row, the ones like stairs with small houses....the whole imagery looks like a story for children...or maybe it is because I feel more like a child each year once the winter holidays begin. It's good that you spend time with your family. I miss mine.

They are a miniature of rice fields :) It's cool that you see them like that. A creative mind could have written a story out of the photos hehe.

It's good that you spend time with your family. I miss mine.

Yes, grateful to be with them. Are you away from your family?

Yes, I am away from my family and this is not the first year...it feels like I'm a leaf in the wind. But I guess it needs to make me stronger. Thanks for asking. Really.

Sorry to hear. Those times do make one stronger. And know that the sacrifices are honorable. The good thing is that technology allows you to connect with them albeit virtually. I had a similar experience where I was mostly away when I was 23 toward my mid-30s until I decided to leave the corporate world and stay home for good.

The festival exhibits so much creativity from the entrants. I like that is was so varied. Loved the cactuses, the pineapple and small thatched houses. Must have been great to walked around. Great photos.

Yes, it was astonishing to see them. There were a lot more but the photos that the husband took were limited and didn't give justice to what the place looked like :)

Thank you !LUV

The place is indeed beautiful and it's a place worthy to visit. Beside arrangement of the place seems a little bit different and unique in my eyes.

Both pictures are just amazing and touched my heart. !LUV

All these things plant's are looking very beautiful. The best benefit of aloe vera plant is that people use it in their daily routine.

Thanks. I know of a few uses of aloe vera but have not tried any of them yet although we have some pots of them around :)
