Of Sunrise, Sunset, Lights & Memories | Reflection Hunt 118

Howdy Hive😉

It's been a long while since I last hunted for reflections and glad to have found something from my archives and they are what I'm sharing today. The first three shots were along Halsema Highway during an early morning drive when we were coming from the city and went on the road early because we were intentionally chasing the sunrise. I wrote about the trip sometime last year.

The orange and blue hues of the sky got reflected on the accumulated rainwater on one side of the street. The electric post, wires and some minute details are showing too albeit a little faint.

Here, some of the houses (roofs) were mirrored on the water too.

This (below) on the other hand is in the town capital. We were heading to the city one morning and while leaving town, I noticed that the the golden colors of the street light was reflected on the slightly wet road.

And this last one was when the husband and I went on our wedding anniversary trip to the beach. The golden rays of the setting sun were reflected on the water by the shore.

And here ends my participation to Round 118 of the Reflection Hunters Challenge by Olgavita.

Meanwhile, it's the hump day (Wednesday) for us here, a lovely one with a gorgeous weather. The sun finally showed up. Guess it will be an outdoor day for me and I might continue with my gardening work which started yesterday. With power still out, I managed to do some transplanting and reorganizing in the afternoon when my phone battery got drained while Hiving.

The husband was making fun of me saying I only tend to my plants when there's a blackout, lol! It isn't funny to not have electricity this long but we are getting through the days gracefully. Adapting is one thing but getting used to it is another. It's a tough situation to be in but we are hoping the repairs on the main plant will finish soon so we can have our freedom lights back.

Whilst the not-so-pleasant impacts and inconveniences caused are really felt day in day out, the advantages of the power outage can't be ignored too. One, we get more sleep because we go to bed before 10 pm. We have less screen-time too which I believe is making our eyes a lot healthier. So these make up for it I guess.

Here's to a fantastic day!

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!

I like the golden color of the sky, sunsets are always a beauty to watch. Lol is it true you only work in the garden when there are blackouts?

They are indeed. Sunsets always give a warm feeling.

And yes, I'm guilty of that. I used to be very active in the yard garden but have become a little lazier these days😅

Water is a very interesting thing. Specially in case of water reflection I feel it can be more beautiful than the real one. I love water reflection very much. The reflection in the beach seems very beautiful to me.
