... Power Up!

Yep. It's April 1st and what else to do than stake HIVE like we usually do every HPUD? We are keeping the tradition, not breaking up with it. Oh wait, did you perhaps think I meant another thing when you read the post title? I was just playing an April Fool's thing, lol! Leaving the blockchain is not in my plans and I intend to be here while I'm alive and kicking.😉

Back to Hive Power Up Day (HPUD), I added a small amount of HIVE in the morning. Just 20 HIVE for today but will continue with staking daily as usual. The HiveBuzz PUM initiative is wonderful as it encourages us to continually build our account HP by powering up at least 1 HIVE every day or publishing one long-form content per day and setting the payout to 100% Power Up.

Anyhow, with the small addition, my staked HIVE (HP) now stands at 18,427.

A quick calculation made me realize that 658 HP was added in the whole month of March which accounts to around 3.7% growth. A decent increase that helped me get closer to my goal. With 274 days left in the year, I still need to stake at least 17 HP a day from today to stay on track. Hopefully, my content and curation payouts will cover most of it and I will supplement them with my daily power up.

Meanwhile, things aren't looking nice in the stock market. Out of 6 equities in our portfolio, 4 of them (about 28% of our holdings) are in the red. Two lost over 50% of their value and we are now reconsidering whether to continue adding to them or pause for the time being. Something to think through the night but I'd be surely sleeping soundly before I even start giving it some thought, lol!

By the way, we were out in the afternoon for some errands. The day was breezy which is odd but good in a way that it controlled the scorching heat. "Free and natural aircon," the shop keeper was saying and it's true.

Anyway, while down the valley, our little guy and I enjoyed our favorite sweet, cold treat (ice cream), hence the main photo above. The husband had a pass because he's just coming out of a bug that caught him on Wednesday so he's being careful not to trigger it again. At least he can say no to such temptations, lol!

We came back home before 7 and that's pretty much what happened today. Nothing eventful but we had some fun. A good start to the new month, I'd say.

There used to be HPUD rewards (HP delegations etc) for those who are eligible (I'm not because my rep is above 70) but Traci became busy IRL, the HPUD draws have been halted.

We do have the Fabulous Four initiative where 4 of us in the Silver Bloggers community will delegate HP to 3 newbies (red fish) who are participating in HPUD and are intentional in growing their accounts.

Increase of 658 HP in month is quite good. It's approximately 3X growth compared to mine. So your growth is still a dream for me but I hope the dream will come true one day.

Good progress in march, on the right track to achieve your goals!

Didn't knew you're in stock market too.. it's something I still need to explore and learn. Hopefully that investment will Turn green eventually.. though wonder which one's more tough in your opinion: stocks or crypto?

😅 It just came out that way, !LOL

I was already investing in stocks before I got into crypto. The returns are not bad, especially when you're receiving dividends from your investments but in my experience, crypto still gives better and faster ROI.

Haha of COURSE I had to forget the date when I read the title. A bit of a spoiler when you read the fine print in the listing but solid nonetheless.

I never really understood the “I am done, need everyone to know about it, and am taking all my toys from the sandbox” some people do. I would take a break, let the tokens hold their value, or just power down silently if that was the case. Ah well people gonna peep.

Glad you are kicking ass, having fun and headed toward your goals here.
