Drifting By and the Beautiful Mess in the Lil Kingdom

(Edited)

So it's already Friday, huh?

It feels like I have just been drifting by since last weekend. I'm just glad to have good company in Anyeong who tends to make the day a mix of everything - utter peacefulness when he is curled up and sleeping, lots of fun and laughter when he starts playing, joyful bliss when he gives his sweet kisses, crazy messy when he is in a super hyper mood and what else. I honestly couldn't keep up with his energy at times, haha!

But yeah, life got even better with him around.

"We should have adopted sooner," I was sharing my thoughts with the husband some days ago. "Well, everything has its own time," he said. And perhaps he is right because he had actually been in search for quite a long while but for most, he had some reasons. I even thought he didn't really like to have one in the house.😅

"Did you realize we got him from the same place where we bought the cow?" he continued (he meant the car, lol).

He was trying to connect events.

The thing was that we were to adopt another pup but the person whom the Farmboy initially contacted and agreed to meet up with was suddenly unreachable the day we were to pick up the puppy. We waited for a few more hours and she was not responding so the husband decided to find another one. Anyeong came through.

He's one little perfect gift.

We are just starting to create memories with him, and we will take it one day at a time. He sure makes me dream yet again of the days, weeks, months, and years ahead.

Anyeong during our walk. He doesn't like being photographed.

We had our very first short walk in the neighborhood on Saturday. The kids down the property got excited about seeing him. He wasn't though, and gave them the first taste of his mean side, lol! But nah, he's just a sweet kid who was brought into an unfamiliar space and he didn't like it.

Again, we will take it one moment at a time. He will adapt for sure!

Meanwhile, we had a wee fun time watching the caterpillar in one of the blooming roses in the yard. He whimpered and quickly tried burying his head in my chest when he noticed it moving, lol! He's easily scared and it is very understandable.

The truth is, he often puts me into a reflective mode each and every day. And I love it. I have more yet to learn about life and stuff, and this little guy is teaching me a lot already.

There had been some adjustments made in the house (like turning some of the rags upside down and repositioning some things), and more yet to come as he grows. But I do imagine wonderful, messy, wild, and fun adventures ahead of us!

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope things are going well for you as we welcome another weekend. Have a glorious one!

Will be sharing some more. Most of the ones taken were when he was sleeping. Quite hard to take snaps when he's awake, lol!

Haha! Yes, I understand the challenges your active doggy gives you - like trying to photograph a bee buzzing from flower to flower! Anyeong will get used to being your photo model in time.🐩

Yes, he's quite the hyper one when he's up, lol! Right now, he's snoozing under my computer table, haha! His favorite spot in the afternoons.

She looks cute and I wish I were there to watch her movements. In a new place, every creature take time to adapt to the situation and she wasn't different either.
Getting afraid of a caterpillar seems new to me and I have never seen such kind of sight.

Thank you, Inti. He is a "he"😅

You're right, most creatures (including people) need time to adapt. The good thing is he immediately felt at home with us.

He is receptive to movements and sounds. He's also scared of the vacuum cleaner and the hair dryer haha.

He looks really cute, happy new family member! 😍.
I would also love to have pets but it's not allowed in our house, I think when I live alone I'll have many of them. 😃

The way it is for human to adapt to changes, that's also the way it applies to animal. But i guess she will adapt with the help of humans around.

You are right, just like us humans, animals need time to adjust to new environments too. Anyeong will, for sure :)

They certainly make life more fun and it seems hard to believable sometimes, but they teach us so many things. I became a fur mom after I got old, lol. But I think it's OK, like your farm boy says, all in good time.
Anyeong is a cutie, sis 😍

Oh you have a pup!

Now he really is a wee one and will be wee when he is fully grown too. Mind you I have had big dogs all my life and all dogs to me no matter their age are all pups!

Anyeong is a wee cutie but that is a mouthful I think I shall call him Any!

Haha, yeah. It happened, Tito Ed. He sure is very tiny and we are wondering how big he would be as he grows up.

Calling him Any would be fine hehe.

How old is he? He sort of looks like a small breed so I doubt he will be no more than knee-high to a grasshopper!

He just turned 2 months old on 8th Oct. He's a Havanese Shih Tzu we were told.
