Coinbase's Onchain Summer Sweepstakes (Win Up to 2 BTC)

Onchain Summer

Onchain Summer was initiated by Coinbase powered by its Layer 2 network (Base) in partnership with 50 of the best builders, platforms, brands, products, artists, and creators - all coming together to run various events on the chain.

It is a month long (multi-week) festival or celebration of onchain art, music, culture, gaming, community and many more.¹

It started on the 9th of August and will last for 3 weeks. There's a series of Web 3 activations, featuring daily drops of art, gaming, music etc. You can access it here and read more about it on the Coinbase blog. Users can mint NFTs daily, earn rewards (up to $50 for new Coinbase Wallet users) or claim free decentralized username, just to name a few.

The Onchain Summer Sweepstakes

Coinbase is currently running a sweepstakes promotion where users can participate by performing a few tasks. The sweepstakes is not open to everyone though.

Eligible Users

  • ✅At least 18 years old and
  • ✅Legal residents of the US (excluding Hawaii);
  • ✅Legal residents of the District of Columbia, United Kingdom, and Canada (excluding Quebec).

Promotion Period

23rd August 2023 at 12:00 pm Pacific Time until 31st August 2023 at 11:59 pm.

Prizes:

A total of 106 winners:

  • 🔥2 BTC: 1 winner
  • 🔥2 ETH: 5 winners
  • 🔥100 USDC: 100 winners

How to Earn Entries for the Prize Draw

There are two ways or methods to join or earn entries for the draw.

Method 1

  • ❇️Opt in

    Sign in to your Coinbase account and opt-in to the Onchain Sweepstakes. Make sure you get an email confirming that you have opted in successfully.

  • ❇️Get the Coinbase Wallet App

    Download the wallet application, sign in, and link it to your Coinbase account.

    If you already have an existing Coinbase Wallet app linked to your account, just proceed to the next step.

    If you do not have a Coinbase account, create one through this link.

  • ❇️Fund your Coinbase Wallet or Mint NFT

    Deposit ETH to your Coinbase Wallet. One entry each time you fund it.

    If you opt to mint NFTs, go to your Coinbase Wallet App browser, open the Onchain Summer site or DApp (https://onchainsummer.xyz/,) and click on "Connect Wallet."

    Mint any of the NFTs available and earn two (2) entries. Each minting earns you an additional 2 entries.

Method 2

Eligible residents can enter the prize draw without funding their Coinbase Wallet or minting NFTs.

Handwrite the following on a piece of paper:

  • ✴️ Name, address, city, state, zip, e-mail address and telephone number.

  • ✴️Put it in an envelope and mail it to the following address:

    494 8th Avenue, Suite 1700, New York NY 10001

    Each mail earns two entries. They must be posted or mailed (postmarked) on or before 31st August 2023 and received by Coinbase no later than 8th September 2023.

NOTE: There's a limit of 10 entries per person or per e-mail address or household regardless of the method they choose to enter the sweepstakes.

Onchain Summer is a festivity on Base where communities, projects, creators come together and have fun through a series of activities related to art, music, gaming etcetera. Users will be able to mint NFTs daily.

Coinbase is running an Onchain Summer Sweepstakes, open only to eligible residents of the US (excluding Hawaii), The District of Columbia, United Kingdom, and Canada (excluding Quebec). Users in this jurisdictions can participate and win up to 2 BTC in the prize draw.

The maximum entry per user is 10. Do not try to game it or you will risk being disqualified.

If you live in the mentioned countries then yes, you can participate in the sweepstakes. You may check Onchain Summer too if you want to mint NFTs. I think some of them are free but you will need ETH for the gas fees.
