Revisiting Childhood: Bringing Back The Magic of Outdoor Play and Street Games!

Everything about this new generation is a lot different than the time when I was kid and then while growing I've seen things started to change and slowly faded away to the point that I can't be found or seen anywhere now.

Those things means a lot to me and I want to bring it back again in today's world.. the time I'm talking about is 2009-2015 when smartphones weren't part of our life and technology was slowly becoming what it's today after all those years.

Those old things of my childhood times are now faded away that we call it nostalgia now and I'm sure a lot of you will relate while reading this blog.

Bring it Back: The Gen Z Things that Faded Away

I remember the time when I being a kid used to be excited about going outside home just to play games with friends and that was totally different from today's world.

The games I used to play was hide and seek, run I'll catch you, police and thief (real life roleplay) and such more street games including cricket are couple of games I played alot.

and you may have different one's in your country back in that era (2009-2013) that time was totally different.

Nowadays kids play games on their smartphone and don't even want to go out and play with friends... Roleplay in GTA V? Nah, we used to do that in real life planning the entire plot who's going to be police, thief.. catching each other and than playing hide and seek in the night because there's no power and load shedding used to be real fun.

We friends used to have different signs language or signals to call each other homes.. also having a fix time to be available on that one spot where all friends will be together and than plan how things will go in the limited time (1hr-2hr max) we were allowed by parents.

Those things faded away slowly as the time slipped and we had computer... gaming zone in the area was a place where we weren't allowed to visit because of the environment.

The Arcade Games: Unforgettable Era of Gamers

I wasn't allowed neither most of child's back then we're not allowed to go near any arcade game zone because of environment wasn't good like gamblers on the other side and you playing arcade..I went there couple of time but didn't knew what's that other people on the table doing.

I couldn't see anything other than games and a token was worth 5rs to play a one single game.

Street fighters, snow bros, Tekken 3 and many more top games of that era is nowhere to be seen now.

The games exist but aren't classic like ol days nor the vibes and craze exist like before.

The arcade games are over in my place like it's been 5-6 years I've not seen it in a single one place, haven't heard from any kid talking about playing games there like I and frens used to do.

Wrapping Up...

I believe the people born in that era had a much interesting childhood, growing up experiencing new things without realizing they're slowly moving to something else and at some point it'll fade away completely.

Not spending time on mobile but outside with friends and all that connection was special.. it's rare now or it doesn't exist in my life anymore.

There's a lot of things that goes down on the list but things that were closest and special to me faded away and i still smile thinking about those days.
