LEO Gamifies Short-Form Engagement

The user interface is a big issue for a project. Unless something is easy and enjoyable to use, it is too hard to persuade the target audience to be a part of it in the long run. At that point, being an up-to-date project and answering the demands of the users, markets and changing parameters gets harder.

The projects that cannot get over such basic but vital concerns eventually fade away. Thus, every single update, it can be as simple as changing the logo, can be pretty beneficial to "refresh" the atmosphere. If you have realized, the giants of social media, the owners of Web 2.0, have adopted a black and simple form of logo as of 2021. You and I may have no idea about their ultimate plan but there must be an important factor that pushed them all.

Now we have black logos and new king of short-form content in Web 3: X, a.k.a Twitter.

To be able to compete with new and strong competitors, there is a need for projects to evolve. Everyone is aware of a single fact: Web 3.0 in the blockchain era will be devastating. Either the people and companies will get along with it or they will die out in time.

As one of the most popular and real form of Web 3 platforms, Hive ecosystem is going to lead the new SocialFi trend. However, when millions of people rush into crypto to conquer the ecosystem, we, as a community, need to be well-developed and ready for that. I'm glad to see the performance of Hive dAppps and proud of the team members that I have known for several years.

Gamification of Engagement in Short-Form

The existing blockchain projects try to deal with a fundamental problem: lack of fun.

First of all, humanbeings want to feel satisfaction of doing something, it can be working; learning a language or using a social media platform. If a Web 3.0 project cannot provide at least the same level of enjoyment in Web 2, then it might be a big challenge to be faced.

FUN is as important as Monetization of content.

When there's no authentic communication, sense of community, human interaction, or learning opportunity, the platform's monetization system is obliged to fail. Hard to find opposite results in history.

LeoFinance team is doing great stuff by gamifying engagement on Hive ecosystem. Now, when we onboard a new person, we have tons of options to serve this person to add value to the ecosystem with his/her wisdom, social power, and capital to invest in Hive projects.

For example, I am pushing myself hard to be the number one ThreadStormer by outperforming Taskmaster (which is almost impossible). Yet, I am always in my second position until one day I achieve it 😅

Let me talk about my second engagement goal: I will have reached at least 1,000 threads by October.

One of the greatest engagement-based updates is the search option among threads. I, sometimes, want to check what were my previous estimations for the price of a crypto, TVL, Marketcap, etc. of a project. Now it is as simple as searching on google!

Also, I can use it to see what people that I care about their ideas regarding something.

Threads may turn into a library for all of us 🙃

Finally, the leaderboard: Hall of Fame

I believe there are some important details to focus on. The leaderboard does not necessarily focus on how many threads you post daily. It is based on a Lions' engagement in all aspects.

Comments, interaction with others, Threadstorms in which long threads are shared and votes to contribute to the others are factors. It is never like a single-way path, always a win-win for everyone.

Frankly speaking, I adore how fast the team integrates an update and makes it better for everyone to engage. The authenticity is adding great value to Hive ecosystem. LEO is the best form of real Web 3 with multi-faceted forms of engagement.
