Fisherman's Children & Their Games

14 IMG_0515 copy.jpg

It seems very easy for them, the children in a fishing village, to choose the type of game that only uses boats waiting to be repaired at the wooden shipyard in the local town. Together with his friends, they play boats on land as well as in the ocean. Tossed around by the waves seems to be the scenario they are acting out.

They alternately rocked the boat to the left and the right. Meanwhile, other children who were in the boat occasionally screamed hysterically because of the shaking. However, they look very happy with this game.

I believe that their are honest. Their expressions were split between happiness and tension. Sometimes too, some of them struggle a little for a safe position when the boat's hull is being rocked. That is what is called a game—joy and sorrow mixed into one unified whole.

Well, now they took turns rocking the hull of the boat. The task is performed by little girls. No less exciting are the boys; they swing it in unison. See these little girls in action:

I think the swing is quite strong. This condition forced several boys who were on the boat to scatter. What riveting and entertaining action! I muttered.

The tension ended when I asked them to take a short break while taking a group photo in an effort to quell their panic at the time. This is the face of the fishermen's children here, with all their creativity and imagination, who use nature as their playground. Bravo to all of you!

And here is a view of the city's wooden shipyard site adjacent to the fish landing port.
