Saturday Savers Club Progress week 46 - Bought my DAB club token, and little more DRIP

avatar

Its week 46 (18/11/23) of my savings focus for 2023 with the Saturday Savers Club which I think is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My focus for the rest of the year is:

  • My annual HP target of 10K HP,
  • Growing my holding of investment tokens,
  • Delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts.

This weeks pic - We were in the town centre (of Edinburgh) on sunday and walked past the Museum of Scotland ! This is a more recent extension that they added to the building which I think is really well done - I love the shapes/geometry of the architecture.

Weekly Stats

Weekly commentary

  • I gained +128 HP this week, which is really good - again thanks to a number of good post payouts again,
  • My HP total is now 9814 HP. This time last year I had 2536, so have gained 7278 HP over the last year,
  • I need a further 186 HP to hit my year end 10K HP target, which at 6 weeks to go requires 30 HP per week (down 14 per week !). Not long now - may 2-3 weeks !,
  • I delegated another +29 HP to @ocdb to bring that total to 67 HP. Once I hit 100 HP on @ocdb, the next target will be to take all 5 of the delegations to those great community curation projects up to 250 HP each,
  • I gained +2.16 EDS, with my 2012 HP delegation to @eds-vote bringing in +1.62 EDS of that gain last week. I wont hit my year end target of 100, but I'll get close,
  • I gained +2.376 DAB, which is a little more than normal, brining my total to 33. These are still going for around 3-4 HIVE each on Hive-engine, so thats quite a nice passive weekly income,
  • I gained +2 DBOND taking my total to 708. I'm happy to see both DAB and DBOND increasing each day passively due to their staking synergy !,
  • I also managed to save the 30 HBD needed for the DAB club token, so have purchased that (they get distributed in early Dec). They give various bonuses/offers from the daily DAB project to holders, so I'm looking forward to see how that will kick-in,
  • I gained +2.285 DRIP this week, of which about 0.6 was a passive gain for my existing staked DRIP. I sold off a few other spare layer 2 tokens to buy the rest, and will continue to do that over the coming months to increase my stake of DRIP,
  • I also gained a further +0.536 PWR tokens from my HP delegation to @empo.voter, and what I have in the PWR:swap.hive pool. I'm looking forward to hearing more developments from this project, although that probably wont be confirmed until well into 2024. I'm working on the principle that being an early adopter will pay-off when its investing/payout aspects kick-in,
  • I also had 10 HBD:HIVE flipping trades go through for a total profit of around 7 HIVE this week - which was a nice little bonus. I've just reinvested that back into further trades. The recent HIVE price rise has brought it back into my trading range.

Plan for the coming week

  • To continue to make sure I post daily/regularly to ensure daily HBD and HIVE author rewards,
  • To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards,
  • To continue to increase undelegated HIVE in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
  • To continue with HBD:HIVE flipping now that the price is back in my trading range. I'll also be adding some additional funds (in small amounts) to my trading capital each week, which will help grow the gains over the long term (albeit slowly),
  • This weeks delegation of 15% of my weekly HP income (19 HP) will be going to @ocdb, as part of my project to support community curation accounts via HP delegation,
  • I'm keen to increase my stack of DRIP, and will continue to buy more over the coming weeks in small amounts here and there,
  • I will be continuing to sell HBD payouts from posts for HIVE in order to power up more towards my annual HP target, especially while the price of HIVE is still so low.

In summary, its been another great week. I was very happy with my weekly HP gain again, and it was great to finally get enough HBD for a DAB Club Token. I was happy with the HBD:HIVE trades and am hoping I'll continue to get a steady stream of those happening. Although small, I was happy to buy more DRIP - I really do need to think about making a bigger purchase of those, as the rewards are quite impressive.

My Tribe Token Investment Project

I undertook the first rebalance on my new tribe token staking, delegation, curation and rebalancing experiment on my @hoosieboy alt account. I was quite excited to see how it would work out over the week. It went alright I guess and there certainly was growth. If you are interested in that, you can find the latest post on it here.

And as a reminder:

  • This weeks #saturdaysavers #topauthors announcement post and poll went live on friday - so get voting !. We are looking for inciteful content that shows how you are saving, growing and investing - the winner each week gets 60% of the announcement post payout - so its worth it ! There are also HSBI rewards for all other contenders - everyone is a winner !

@alonicus! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @ hoosie. (6/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want, plus you can win Hive Power (2x 50 HP) and Alive Power (2x 500 AP) delegations (4 weeks), and Ecency Points (4x 50 EP), in our chat every day.

Cool ! Some of your posts definitely deserve it - sadly I rarely travel much further than the shed at the end of the garden, lol.

I reckon I should be more mercenary about the communities I post in, and get out of the rut of just writing in really small niche communities. Maybe next year I'll separate out what I buy and what I earn to get a more accurate picture of where the growth is coming from.

I'm lucky in that the travel community is where I would naturally write anyway and it does well. I produce other posts that get next to nothing !
