CATEGORY - Music Community

Today we're going to look at some of the ways Musicians can get more exposure on Hive. We've already covered a couple of the major Music communities/projects aimed at supporting musicians. Today we'll take a look at 'the' Music community on Hive. With over 8000 users and thousands of interactions, this is one of the longest-standing music communities for users to express their musical talent.

OVERVIEW - 'The' Music Community

'The' Music community is the main Hive Music community. This is one of the original communities on Hive coming over from Steem. The Music community allows users to share almost any music content. Although not holding their own token, there are many curators who view this community in search of great musical content on Hive. There is also the Music communities´ Discord to allow further connecting and engaging with fellow music creators.

Music Community for Users

The Music community brings together all music content on Hive, whilst many creators use 'niche' music communities for their own style, the music community encompasses all content. The Music community is most people's first stop in the pursuit of quality music content to consume on Hive, with many small musical niches in one place. By combining the best of all music, the music community furthers Hive's potential to reach new users far and wide.

Music Community for Artists

The Music community is the main posting community for Musicians, with the @music-community curator (more info) being one of the main curators for Hive music. For many years the music community has been curating quality content, and with the recent addition of the '$Music' token as featured in a previous article (more info), the curator has even more ability to highlight quality Hive musicians.

With a focus on showcasing 'professional' music talent, the music community is the 'best' place to post your music and get noticed. The community team actively ensure the posts passing through are of the highest quality and has recently tried to lessen the visibility of lower-quality content (like karaoke more info) to further 'real' musicians on Hive.

SUMMARY

Hive's Music Community is the go-to for all musicians to further their exposure and interactions on Hive. With the ability to share Music content and Music related posts. The Hive Music community is the longest standing music community and continues to grow week on week. Combining their weekly curation reports with Music Author of the week polls they're able to support Musicians reach their maximum potential.
