LOH Contest #142// I Overcame My Childhood Fear

Happy New week dear sisters, I pray that this week bring lots of blessings with it. It's another time of engagement with the community contest. I will be going with the second topic What is that one childhood fear you have not told anyone yet?.

As ladies we have lots of things that is personal to us, so we count that as a secret and will not want to share it with the closest friend because of how precious it is to us or maybe we feel shy to talk about it, I have such too. The story am about to share with you happened more than 18 years now that's my secondary school days.

It happened that I attended a boarding school and only girls. So we have lots of things to share together as ladies. One of those days, one of the girls noticed some wound in my stomach and the only thing that came out of her mouth was, I was not going to give birth to any child. Immediately I rebuked her and that did not stop there the seed of words have been sown so am left to battle with those words.

As a believer I started confronting those words with the word of God and trusting God for a good heart and get myself ready to nurture my own children. Today I have my family not only that I have my children.

One thing I learnt while growing up I that words are like seeds, so we can allow them grow or we terminate it even before it germinates.

Hope you enjoyed reading my short story, I will like to get your comments and reviews as I look forward to reading about you too.

Special thanks to all the admins and moderators of our dear community and to @saffisara for this week's topic. See you next time friends

It's odd that with all the things to come out of her mouth was those words. Glad it didn't have power.

Thanks for sharing your story, !LADY

Words are spirit. You did the right thing countering her immediately and I’ve learned too. Whatever we won’t accept for ourselves, we shouldn’t let the others impose it

I believe you were still young at those times? So things that came out of her mouth were just to tease you and you shouldn't be feared...
