Scammers are targetting investors increasingly. Chris Burniske has alerted his followers about phishing emails being sent from spoofed addresses. Chris Burniske has been seeing messages that are fake, known as "spoofing", that seem like they are from his email address.

He has warned that if you receive a strange email that especially has odd content or mistakes, it's likely not genuine. He said that it is most definitely not Chris Burniske himself if someone named "CB" reaches out on messaging apps and demands money in exchange for goods or services.

This comes after a major incident where an important media platform related to crypto was hacked. The platform's users were sent messages from the attackers containing dangerous phishing links that can steal personal information.

Third-party haven't yet evaluated the damages from this hack as complex methods were used by the hackers to trick people. Thankfully immediate action was taken in addressing the hack but caution is still advised.

For those who are in the crypto space, need to be on high alert. If you get a message that is unexpected from someone well-known in the crypto space, media outlets, or trading platforms asking you to send money, show wallet specifics such as seed phrases or private keys, proceed with extreme caution.

These are the tactics commonly used by scammers to get access to your funds and personal information.

As more people are looking to earn more in the digital assets industry and looking for ways of increasing their capital, a good number of influencers and platforms are being targeted during the bull run.

It is important to double-check any communications asking for sensitive information or financial transactions.

Stay vigilant and get yourself on the safer side from these deceptive scams. You can help keep your personal data and investments safe from such types of scrupulous attacks. Before accepting any unexpected requests pertaining to your cryptocurrency assets, always double-check.
