Those days, when I needed pocket money from my father to school
In those primary school days, I use to act a lot of movies, I called those things that happened then movies, because, if it was now, I wouldn't have did some, and apart from that, whenever I think about it, there always makes me to laugh.
Do you know that, it was always a think of honor to buy an ice cream in school, especially, buying an ice cream, when school is over and we are on the way going back to the house, because with the kind of sunset we used to face, anyone who buy's an ice cream would be looked upon by others students as a king.
I always did it, and my classmate would be calling me, "oga on top" but on this particular day, something happened that, I could not buy ice cream on my way back from school.
I remember quite alright that, I was having two twenty naira, so I forget to put the both of the note on my school bag, I put one in the trouser and that day, I went to school, when it was break time, I bought one ice cream with one twenty naira thinking, another twenty naira was there on my school bag, so I will used that one, and buy ice cream also on my way going back, so I can fight the heavy sunset that always wants to start fight on us.
I told my friend, he shouldn't worry that he should trust me, because we will buy another ice cream on our way going back, because he was telling me, I shouldn't have bought the ice cream by that time, because he enjoys it when we are going home the more.
After school, it was so unfateful that we searched my school bag up to the point of bringing out all my exercise books and be flipping it one by one but we didn't see the other twenty naira, not knowing it was at the house, inside my short niker.
I used to do something to have this ice cream money, we all know that money's don't fall from the air, we must do something before it comes, so what I used to do to get this money and used it in school was, whenever I gets back home, I would make sure that I showed my father, how many marks I got from my assignment.
I was a brilliant students, so there was money for me, from my father, because once, I showed him my book and how the teacher tick me right and scored me good mark, my father would be so happy and he always said that, I am so intelligent just like him.
So from there, he would dash me money, so that I can used it and buy ice cream in school.
Therefore, on this fateful day, out of ten questions, I had only three, but, because I needed money to buy ice cream in school the next day, I went and showed my father my scored of the day, he was very angry and that was the final day I got ice cream money.
I wish i didn't show him my score that day, but I was more than a good boy, I always acted right.
