5 minutes freewrite prompt: the end of the empire

I saw the sun setting at it peak, I knew there was something wrong about that, but I didn't expect it to be what I was seeing.

So I walked closer to the sun and it was a sign that it was showing to me about the empire.

The place seems like it was going to collapse, I knew it was the end of the empire but inside of me, I didn't wish for that to happen to the king, he just made king just few days ago, after his father split his kingdom and gave him one part of the kingdom then make him a king of the empire.

Then his father became to plot against him because things were working in the empire, his son was ruling more than where he was king, he sent some able men to brought down his son's empire just because of too much jealousy that he would be richer than him.

When the sun shows to me what was happening, I took pitied on the young king, because depsite he was king, he was not a type of King that keeps disputes, and he never wants anything that may looks like dispute in his empire.

But as his father soldier's matching and trooping into his empire, he knew that something isn't right, he didn't want to fight but he knelt down and pray for God's protection and intervention.

His father's soldier sees how peaceful he was, and they all bow down and called him their king, he was made the ruler of the whole empire, his father reigns came to an end but he didn't treat him as his enemy, he honor and respect him as his father.
