Splinterlands Restructure - Embrace the Positivity

Hello all friends and @splinterlands lovers.

hive

The cryptocurrency market has been enduring an extended bearish phase, spanning over 18 months without witnessing any significant rally in the crypto space. Many are growing weary of the persistent crypto winter and eagerly awaiting better days for cryptocurrency.

It's worth noting that the term 'crypto winter' is not new; we previously experienced the first crypto winter, which commenced in January 2018 and lasted until December 2020, lasting for 23 months. The ongoing season began in May of the previous year and is still ongoing into 2023.

The crypto winter doesn't only result in lower cryptocurrency values; it also impacts the overall trading volume. Another adverse effect is the downsizing of staff at numerous crypto projects.
In recent days, significant changes have unfolded within the Splinterlands game. The team made a public announcement on Twitter and also discussed it during the recent town hall meeting. They revealed a reduction in staff and alterations in management structure. The team emphasized their commitment to long-term growth and openly acknowledged past mistakes when their focus was on the short term. Despite these challenges, the team is determined not to give up and is using these past mistakes as valuable learning experiences to fuel their future growth. This shift in focus reflects positive intentions, and the community should likewise view it as a positive step forward.

The change in management leads to split of the organization into two different companies - Inventium Corporation & Splinterlands.
The positive is this is that we have two separate teams which will be individually responsible for the development of products. Now onwards the Inventium Corporation will be lead by Agrro as CEO of the company and responsible for Genesis League Sports and the inveniam platform

The Spinterlands will be leaded by the Yaba and all Splinterlands related developments wil be take care by him along with the Yaba.

I am positive about the split as now the team will be more focused and with separate accounts, expenses it will go to right place.

This isn't the first instance where the teams have reduced in size; it has occurred in the past as well. The present situation suggests that the company's fixed costs exceed the revenue generated.

The community has also perceived the delay in the release of land as a negative development. Players invested in this project over a two year ago, and they are still awaiting the final product launch. Whenever questions arise about the release, the team consistently responds that they are committed to delivering a project free of bugs and unfinished components. However, patience among players is wearing thin.

Will the Management Changes will effect the performance?

It is very much clear form the statement that the team will be more focused and will have their own priorities to work and complete the project on time. With separate account the transparency will be more and their will be more clarity on revenue and expenses, Separate . The leaders also will be more able to focus more in their portfolio, will be able to give more attention to the project, will have a separate team to be work with. I personally consider it as a positive approach which will help to grow more in coming future. Team has admit the mistakes done and has clear their focus on long term sustainability. The team has emphasize on importance of taking a step back, reducing expenses, and focusing on a solid long-term strategy. The team is confident to raise investment capital and optimistic on upcoming release and more focuses for the splinterlands product and onboarding new players and retention of players.

More changes and Proposals

The current Riftwatchers-mini-edition
pack sale is about to end in coming months. The burring mechanism for packs has been successful. The team si now concentrating on upcoming Rebellion expansion. The team has proposed to sell the packs by the Dow. The Splinterlands team will be involved in development and distribution of the packs. This will be one more step towards the decentralization and community ownership. The team has already submit the governance proposal for the DAO to pay $250,000 to Splinterlands for the development of the Rebellion Edition, and in this way the DAO will get the ownership and all the revenue generated by the pack sell in the coming days will be split 50-50 by the DOA and the Splinterlands team. The proposal will be boost the Splintershards(SPS) and DAR ENERGY CRYSTAL (DEC) token value which is ultimately as positive for the overall tokenomics of this wonderful play2earn game.

Please not the post is not a financial advice and based on my thoughts and p[previous experience. Doing your own research before investment is always essential.
