The game is from the same developments group working on Muterra game. The game is actually a sub part of main Muterra game. Both the games share the resources and earn same Mute token. The game is very similar to the Terracore and Golem Overlord. You must owned a tamer license to play the game.

i tried to play muterra without license but idk couldnt get interested into it
You will not be able to explore the map without license. Game is fun and you will feel like old day when you were playing the Mario or contra games. The same license is usable on both main as well as the sub game.

I am holding some MUT tokens to earn rewards otherwise I have never played this game but it seems good game and worth investment.
I think for me splinterlands, Golem overload and terracore are sufficient game to use. I don't think that I will get chance to see others game but the way you described, really it would be good one for play to earn.
