Navigating the Evolution of Urban Living: Challenges and Solutions

The technology around us evolving every day and getting advance and advance every new day. At first we have cell phones then the smart phone were introduced, next was the smart homes and now we have smart cities also. The place where I live do not has the title of smart city but their is one city just adjutant to us is known as the smart city. The transportation is the back bone of any developing or developed country. A better connectivity and transportations if possible it does not only make the life of the people easy but also support the business. Their is still a bog number of people who love the life of a city but still many nature loves and looking for a peaceful and cool life preferred to be in rural area. I am form a village and very close to the village life and spend my initial 16 to 17 years in a village and then moved one of the biggest metro city of the county for work and spend almost 5 years. After that I moved to another metro city an spend 10 year of my life their and now I am in a "Y" class city which is not a metro city but is a moderate city of our country.

In todays life the metro or big cities has one major problem of Road Traffic. This is not the case where I live currently but was the major problem in the metro city I was living few years back. Even to travel for few kilometers means you have to spend hours. Here in the current city I am living has anther traffic related problem, the travelers do not worther to follow the traffic and roads rules. No one want to be late and waiting on traffic lights is for them looks like wastage of time. The traffic lights are for us to make the road journey in city safe and comfortable but for the travelers it is discomfort (they think so). The traffic lights teach us a very important lesson of life ie discipline. Then we stop at red light it means we follow the rules and we are disciplined. The road conditions is good and roads are smooth but when we have raining the water logging is one big problem. During my first year in city I was not aware of this issue. During the first rain I was travelling to the home form office and when I reached on main road I was surprised to see the amount of water present on roads. When I moved further I was feeling like y car will start floating in rain water. That was very scary also as I was worried if the water will goes up to engine or come inside the vehicle. When some heavy truck passes by me it was more scary as the water splash because of the truck movement in water, were hitting on my car.

I guess the solution for the first problem is use of technology like used in some other cities. I have seen that traffic has been controlled digitally in smart cities. The high definition comers records the traffic specifically in red signal areas and the drivers get the fine or challan digitally if they broke the rule. This is very effective as people fear to get recorded on camera commenting the offence and paying fine for same.
The second problem is because of the poor planning and making a effective drainage for the same may solve the problem.
