Continuous Learning: My Journey Through Education and Techniques for Success

Learning is a continuous process. Every day in our lives, we learn something. It may be from home, the workplace, or other experiences. It's not only from experienced people that we learn; many times, we learn from children or young people. So, if you are not in school or college and think that your studying or learning is over, then you must think again as we are learners for our entire life.

During my school days, I was good at studies and never faced any difficulties in my school or college. For the first seven years, up to 5th grade, I was in a private school and afterward studied in a government school. Those initial years in private school helped me a lot in the future as the study level in private schools is much better compared to government schools. I am an average person when it comes to remembering what we read, but to be honest, I am very poor when it comes to remembering numbers and names in real life. Sometimes I correlate numbers and names with other people to remember them. This technique has helped me many times.

As I mentioned, I am an average person with average memory power, but one technique always helps me to understand and learn faster. Instead of just reading, I always try to understand it. For example, if I am learning an essay for English class, I do not just start reading it over and over, but during the reading, I always try to understand the meaning of the words used in the entire sentence. I have seen many students who just read and read the passage again and again just to memorize it, but instead of just memorizing, I always try to understand the meaning, and when you understand the meaning of words used, you can make sentences yourself. Similarly, in the case of Math, I always try to understand the logic behind any formula. I always found trigonometry very interesting during math studies. Instead of just memorizing the formula, I try to understand the logic or how the formula is derived. This makes life very easy when we try to solve any other trigonometry problem. By memorizing the formulas, you will get the solution for straightforward problems, but when you understand the logic, you will be able to solve most of the problems.

During study time, sleeping patterns are also very important. Just studying without proper sleep means that there is a good chance you will forget the same very easily. During my college time, I used to go to bed around midnight and get up around 6 a.m. I was traveling for one hour to reach college and if I delayed the morning wakeup call, it meant I would miss the bus. Around 6 PM, I came back home and, after some rest and dinner, I started studying till midnight. I found this technique very helpful. In the initial days of the semester, we normally have less work and study pressure. I normally slept more during that time. Before starting serious study, I used to free my mind for some days or weeks. I used to sleep more and watch my favorite shows and listen to my favorite music, which gave me more energy before starting my studies.

No doubt, the education of people is a very essential part of any nation, and educated people of any country work as the backbone of the nation and participate in the development of the country. I share my experiences of study during school and college times and hope it will be helpful for you also.
