Capturing Moments: The Evolution and Joy of Photography

Photography is the art which used the instrument Camera which captured the light. In photography the terms composition, lighting and subjects matters a lot as the quality of end product the photograph depends on all those mentioned above. The photography started approximately 200 years ago when first time a blurred photo was captured using a box type instrument. Form that time to now the field of photography has developed a lot form the blurry photo to the high definition phots captured with todays DSLR cameras. In todays technology even a smart phone can captured a high definition photographs which are 100x better then the photos captured by initial days camera.
I like to mentioned that the staring of camera was not capturing that images but it was drawing the images using a camera obscura. The instrument used project the image and then draw the same manually. It was very lengthy process as compare to todays digital cameras where use can view the images insatiately.
I remember the days during my childhood that the ear of film cameras. each film was used to captured the 24 or 36 shots and we use to wait to view our clicks results as the film developing took time and specialized process. Many time we come to know after the film processing that some photos were burned because of the over lighting or out of composition. At that time the only way to view the results was to complete the clicks and get the real or film developed. I am sure for todays generation is seems to be crazy.

My interest in the photography started when I got my first phone with camera. The photo capturing capabilities was not too good but what we can expect in that days as they was the best technology available in the phones to capture the moments. Now days the smart phone also has very good camera inbuilt and they captured images as well as the video very efficiently. I remember the Nokia was one of the leading mobile phone brand in India when I was in collage and the Nokia 6600 model was a big success which was loaded with good camera and touch screen. The price of the phone was out of my reach so was not able to get one.
The photo editing was also made easy as many application are available on IOS as well as on Android OS. I mostly used the Snapseed and the Lightroom for photo editing. Both application are easy to use and very effective.

I purchased my first DSLR after the birth of my kid @gurseerat, The very obvious reason for the purchase was to capture every moment of my kid. I use to capture almost every alternate day (now days its not often) and created a nice photo album of her. I am using the kit lens (which included to telescopic lens). I also tried the light paining some time but the light paining required some specialized tools as well as you need latest one person for help. The field is very interesting and creates very interesting compositions. I am planning to purchase a Prime lens and exploring the alternates to use it as macro lens also. The macro lens are very costly so its price effective if I will be able to use Prime lens as the macro lens also using some attachments.

I love the Photography as it capture and preserve the precious moments of our life. Theis are many sub categories of photography like some people loves the portraits, street photography, landscapes, wildlife, sports etc. I am not an expert and learning the art of capturing life moments using my DSLR. It create fun in my life and watching those precious captured moments after some years fill our daily life with more fun.
