During the pandemic, we witnessed drastic changes in our lifestyle and the way we perceive life also changed. No one had thought that the world would stop just because of one tiny virus. The very first effect of the COVID pandemic was the lack of social gatherings. People were not supposed to gather in one place because it increased the chance of virus spreading very fast. Because of this reason, many businesses and activities were converted to online instead of offline or physical attendance at the activity or place. Working from home is also one such example.

In the initial days, schools and colleges were also closed. But when the lockdown was extended many times, the need for online schooling or online classes was observed. There were many companies that were providing online courses and study materials, but here in this situation, schools themselves started taking the classes online. My kid had just started school during those days. She did not have any experience of school and classroom environment. Yes, she was going for homeschooling before where she was engaging with 5 to 6 kids only, and that was also at her teacher's home. Our experience of online classes with our kid was not very good. The kids of age 4 to 5 years were not even realizing what they were supposed to do in online class. Schooling for such age should be fun so that they can learn with fun and playing. But in online classes, they only got bored. My kid started disliking the classes after the initial days' excitement. Another part was the lack of social environment. When kids go to school, they meet other kids which make them more social and enhance their overall personality. The class teacher was also not able to concentrate on all kids, and teachers were just giving lectures to them, but how can small kids understand those lectures?

In our corporate world also, the companies have shifted from offline training to online trainings. In our company nowadays, most of the software and technical training has changed to online mode. For sure it helps in saving the cost for companies, but it is apparently 50% effective in my opinion. Sometimes time gets wasted just because of some technical issues with video feed or internet connection issues. Physical presence is also more effective as you feel that the mind is also physically available during study. If the online method is effective, then the YouTube tutorial videos must be a blast, but this is not the case in practical scenarios. No doubt the video content helps a lot to understand the concepts, specifically the technical content, but it cannot replace the teacher.


The online and offline modes and his own advantages and disadvantages. But in my opinion online mode for kids inplace of scools is very bad idea. I will share one incident which will helps to understand in bettter way. My wife's nephew is in 8th standred snd during the pendamic he was also attending the classes online as per school instructions. One day I saw him with phone abd he was pretending to attend the class. But he was behaving suspicious, I ask him to show the phone screen he shown me the screen but changed the runing application. He was playing the game and when I aksed hime to show the phone screen he immediately shift the application form game to online class. Now you can imagine how bad effect it is creating among the kids.
