A Day of Relaxation and Unexpected Turns

It's Sunday, so it was a relaxing day for me. No office today, so it's family time and time to spend some time with myself. Other than Sundays, I wake up around 6:30, and the morning time is always a rush, with the first target being to reach the office on time. But since it's Sunday, I do not have to worry about all this. I woke up late, usually, but today it was extremely late. Actually, last night I got to sleep very late, around 3 am. Well, actually, it was early morning, not late night—lol. My kid and wife woke up around 7:30, but it was 10:50 when I checked the time after getting out of bed in the morning. It looks like half the day is already gone.

My wife prepared tea for me; I love to have bed tea on a relaxing day. Normally, on Sundays, my wife expects me to prepare morning tea, but today was not the case.

Last evening, my wife asked me if we could visit a doctor in the morning as she wanted to consult a specialist. She got a reference from one of her friends, and as per the information provided, the doctor would be available on Sunday as well. I said yes and planned to visit in the morning itself. As it was already 11 pm, my wife prepared brunch—a Indian bread stuffed with spinach and green fenugreek leaves. My kids called it green Paratha because of its green color. I love those green parathas with curd and butter. I prefer white butter, but yellow was also not too bad. The green chutney made from coriander leaves was delicious. I always ask my wife why she does not publish food/Indian dishes related posts on the Inleo platform, as the platform is open for all contents. She has been inactive on the blockchain for the last two years, I guess after we shifted near to our native place. She is a homemaker and concentrating more on family and kids. It's good also, but I never leave a chance to encourage her to make a comeback. But surely she helps me to prepare the post for my kid's account.

It's the start of the month, so it's time to fill the supplies for the kitchen. We planned to go to the supermarket after the visit to the clinic. After reaching the clinic, we came to know that unfortunately, the doctor was not available today as she stopped consultation on Sundays. So now we have to visit during the weekday, which is not a problem as I can take two hours relaxation from the office. The other co-doctor was available, but we decided to visit tomorrow. I asked the receptionist if we could have priority appointments, but she said the visits are on a first-come basis. Most of the doctors work in the same way in our area.

The supermarket was on our return route, so without wasting our time, we went there. My wife started collecting the items as per the list she has. We usually prefer to order online, but for some time, the online platforms stopped taking the meal pass we get as replenishment by our office every month as part of our salary. The supermarket was less crowded than expected, and it did not take time for billing. My kid called us and asked if we purchased her favorite chocolate pie or not. She loves them and takes one piece every morning. She reminded us and wanted to make sure that we should not forget her item at the supermarket.

My laptop was very slow and finally crashed last week. After a quick repair by an IT professional, it's working okay, but it still has some issues with the hard disk. As I can understand, it has some bad sectors, and the best way of getting rid of those bad sectors is by scanning the entire hard disk and letting the software fix the bad sectors. I thought the process would take 3 to 4 hours, but unexpectedly, it has been scanning for the last 7 hours, and still, 20% scanning is remaining. It will be good if the problem gets fixed; otherwise, it will be a waste of time.

In the end, it was a mixed day for me.
