The Innocence of Children and Our Enjoyable Moments

Hello all ,

Thanks God for wonderful day.
Today is day 787 of participation,

Children are one of the innocent creations of God, often bringing smiles and laughter with their innocence. A similar incident occurred a few weeks ago in our home, where we have an Alexa Dot placed in the main area. In the early days after purchasing it, my child used to play with Alexa as if it were a toy. However, now she only occasionally interacts with it. But whenever her friends or cousins visit our home, Alexa becomes the center of attention, sparking a war among them to command the device.

A few weeks ago, Gurseerat's cousin came over to our house. Two of the kids were older than her, while one was around her age. They were all playing with Alexa in the evening, listening to songs. Initially, everything seemed fine, but after a few minutes, a problem arose as everyone wanted to play their choice of song. The situation became difficult as one would command Alexa to play a song, only for another to change it immediately based on the previous command.

Although I was in another room, I could hear them and was aware of the situation. My wife was also with me. I suggested to her that we could have some fun with the kids. She agreed, and I took out my phone and opened the Alexa application. Since Alexa was configured through my phone, I had full control over it. The fun began as I chose a song and started playing it on Alexa. The kids were amazed at how Alexa started playing a song without any command. One of them even asked Alexa to change the song, and Alexa obediently followed.

Every time they changed the song, I would play the previous song again using my phone. It became a funny situation as they were all surprised, unable to understand why Alexa was behaving on its own. For us, it was a humorous moment, but they were genuinely perplexed. One of them came to us complaining that something was wrong with Alexa because they were trying to play a song, but it kept playing one particular song continuously. I explained that it seemed to have a technical issue due to their continuous commands.

After a 5-minute break, they asked Alexa to play another song. This time, I changed it to some horror music. They all got scared and started running out of the main hall, some even running into our room. My wife and I tried to suppress our laughter and asked them what happened. One of them explained that horror music started playing when they asked Alexa to play a song. I suggested they give Alexa some rest, as it seemed like she was feeling tired.

I remember one of them standing in front of Alexa, politely asking her to play his song and expressing his gratitude in advance. Another one was angry, loudly yelling at Alexa, questioning why she wasn't obeying their commands.

I hope you enjoyed the story, but honestly, it was incredibly funny. I do not let them know that we were tricking with them and changing the songs.

I thanks to @flaxz for the initiative.

This account belongs to my kid. She is just 5 year old and as she does not know writing so my wife (@mk992039) and me (@guurry123) are managing the account for now. We will handover the account to her when the time comes.

Quite a funny incident it was.

So, you didn't reveal the secret behind such strange behaviour from Alexa, right?

It may come handy again, another day 🙂

I was very interested in knowing your story. I'm also interested in introducing my daughters to Hive, but I've always been a little afraid due to their age. I will take a closer look at this perspective of creating the account and keeping the keys in my temporary custody, but as she already writes, I may encourage her to write some weekly texts. I think this can introduce people to using the keyboard (something that children and young people have "difficulty" with in these touchscreen times).

I would like to suggest and invite you to join the FreeCompliments community (InLeo link only). Why: these posts can be rewarded not only with curation, but also with HSBI units, which over time can be extremely valuable for the children's account, as they bring lifetime benefits!

In any case, I congratulate the couple for their attitude towards their children’s future! We need people like this to improve the world they will live in!

Stay safe, stay with !LUV.
