Story Time - The Jackal And The Drum

Panchantra is ancient Indian collection of fables in Sanskrit. I love to read story book from mh childhood and Panchantra is one of my favorite. Everh story has a learning. The stories are simple and very effective and good sources of learning.
Panchantra is a combination of two words Panch and Tatra - Panch means Five and Tantra means Parts or System. The collection is divided into five parts.
Lets start the story (in my words and in my style, I have make some changes like name, places etc) -

The Jackal And The Drum

Once there was a Jackal was staying in a jungle.
One day he was very hunger and in search of food he was roaming here and their.
During the search he come across a battle field. There the fighting armies had left behind a drum, laying near some creepers.
A strong wind was blowing and because of string wind the creepers were rubbing against the drum and making a noise.
He jackal hared the noise and he got afraid. He through that whoever is making noise is surely powerful and he will not be able to stand against him.

But the second moment he thought to investigate to know about the source of the noise.
So he took all his ;courage in his hands and as he crept forward, he realize that that it was only a drum which made the nise.
He laugh at him self and continue his search. Finally he found sufficient food that can last for long time.

MORAL - Only the brave succeed in the life.
