ThorChain LENDING is LIVE Now - will $RUNE Moon Now?

This is my third consecutive post on Thorchain and this time it is around the long awaited LENDING Feature being LIVE... Yes Lending is now activated on Thorchain with two native Layer 1 assets which are $BTC and $ETH. One can now borrow a USD-denominated debt with no liquidations, no or 0% interest, and no expiration exclusively only on Thorchain. Lending would be opened later for other Layer 1 gas assets supported on THORChain (BNB, BCH, LTC, ATOM, AVAX, DOGE). Currently there are two platfroms where you can take advantage of Lending and they are::

• THORSwap
• Lends

There is a nice dashboard where the monitoring of lending and its health can be seen here on Ninerealms So far things are looking good with Health score being 100 and Lending RUNE burnt to -39.9K which honestly right now I am not aware if this is the number associated to $RUNE burnt or something else. The next thing that come to mind is that will $RUNE moon from here.

There was a very high expectation that with launch of LENDING we could further see some momentum build up for the price of #RUNE. But right if we see $RUNE is trading almost 2% at the moment. But its just the start of the lending, we could see things change quickly and the price come back to GREEN. Apart from that there are more things planned for this whole week. I see talks around Savers Swaps coming next. Will know more about this in coming days. Right now I am not selling any $RUNE and will continue to HODL it. I am bullish on the price of RUNE here and if all things fall in favor of Thorchain we could see $3+ pretty soon.

“When a THORChain loan is opened, the collateral provided is swapped to RUNE and the difference between the collateral value and the loan value is burned. This benefits THORChain such that there’s no need for liquidations or interest.”

For now I'll continue to watch how the Lending dominates here on Thorchain. I have no plans to collateralizing my assets and taking loan at the moment. I do HODL 4K+ $RUNE tokens and the plan is too book some profits here and convert the earnings into $HBD and save in on HIVE Blockchain to receive and APR of 20%. At first I am targeting 2K+ $HBD here and then will revisit to see if I continue to HODL $RUNE for a longer period of time or exit and book all the profits.... cheers
