¿Sirven para algo las redes sociales? [SPA - ENG]

Tim O'reilly,.... escribió alguna vez:

"El enemigo del autor no es la piratería: es el anonimato".

Si bien la frase anterior está dirigida a escritores, podemos adaptarla a cualquier ámbito creativo, artístico o social. Si la parafraseamos, podría quedar así:

“El enemigo del ser humano no es la imitación, es el anonimato”.

Las personas somos seres sociales. No podemos estar sin relacionarnos y comunicarnos. En cada momento y lugar y de cualquier manera encontraremos la manera de expresarnos. Y es que desde el comienzo del mundo hemos evolucionado creando diversas formas de hacerlo: la escritura, la pintura, el baile, la música; amén de los grandes y revolucionarios inventos que nos permitieron expandirnos y ser lo que somos hoy día como sociedad. Inventos como el papiro, la cámara fotográfica, la imprenta, la radio, la televisión, Internet y dentro de este último gran invento, las hiperpresentes y superutilizadas REDES SOCIALES.

Y tienen este nombre justamente porque estos sitios web o aplicaciones sirven para entablar o mantener relaciones interpersonales justamente expresando y compartiendo lo que sentimos y pensamos. Las redes sociales son una evolución de la web 1, o lo que se conoce como el internet de un solo canal. La web 1 permitía solo publicar contenido, pero no responder a él con comentarios o reacciones como hoy las conocemos. Las redes sociales en cambio permiten interactuar y conectar con otros, son parte de la llamada Web 2, ese Internet interactivo, social y recíproco en el tema de la comunicación

Esa es una de las razones por las que son tan populares y tan usados sitios como Facebook, Tik Tok o YouTube. Para eso es que sirven, para comunicar, sea como creadores de contenido (emisores) o consumidores de ese contenido (receptores). Al nacer, las redes sociales explotaron ese deseo innato, esa imperiosa necesidad del ser humano: COMUNICARSE. Y lo hacemos usando canales e idiomas y con extrema facilidad.

Las redes sociales nos permiten hacerlo de diversas maneras: escribiendo, hablando, actuando, a través de una imagen diseñada o captada con una cámara. también lo podemos hacer cantando, bailando o realizando cualquier tontería, porque al fin y al cabo y tomando de referente la frase inicial:

"El enemigo de cualquier creador es el anonimato".

Por eso vemos cualquier cantidad de absurdos en las redes, porque primero muerto que ignorado. La idea es ser famoso como sea, no importa el costo o el tiempo que lleve lograrlo ni cuánto lo mantenga.

También las redes aprovecharon otro ¿deseo? en nosotros: el de tener un líder a quien seguir, el de admirar a esos que se atreven a ser, hacer y decir lo que muchos jamás se arriesgarían.

Queremos siempre comunicar, compartir y que la gente reaccione a eso que comunicamos. Queremos emitir o recibir, y las redes sociales cubren ambas cosas. Por y para eso sirven.

Me gustaría conocer tu opinión al respecto. ¿Crees que son útiles las redes sociales? ¿Cuál crees que sea su verdadera utilidad? ¿Estás de acurdo con mi reflexión? ¿En qué sí concuerdas y en qué no?

While the above phrase is directed at writers, we can adapt it to any creative, artistic or social field. If we paraphrase it, it could read:

"The enemy of the human being is not imitation, it is anonymity".

People are social beings. We cannot be without relating and communicating. At any time and place and in any way we will find a way to express ourselves. Since the beginning of the world, we have evolved by creating different ways to do so: writing, painting, dance, music; in addition to the great and revolutionary inventions that allowed us to expand and become what we are today as a society. Inventions such as the papyrus, the photographic camera, the printing press, the radio, the television, the Internet and within this last great invention, the hyper-present and super-utilized SOCIAL NETWORKS.

And they have this name precisely because these websites or applications are used to establish or maintain interpersonal relationships just expressing and sharing what we feel and think. Social networks are an evolution of web 1, or what is known as the one-channel internet. Web 1 allowed only publishing content, but not responding to it with comments or reactions as we know them today. Social networks, on the other hand, allow you to interact and connect with others, they are part of the so-called Web 2, that interactive, social and reciprocal Internet in the field of communication.

That is one of the reasons why sites like Facebook, Tik Tok or YouTube are so popular and so widely used. That is what they are for, to communicate, whether as content creators (senders) or consumers of that content (receivers). At their birth, social networks exploited that innate desire, that imperious need of human beings: TO COMMUNICATE. And we do it using channels and languages and with extreme ease.

Social networks allow us to do it in different ways: writing, speaking, acting, through an image designed or captured with a camera. We can also do it by singing, dancing or performing any nonsense, because at the end of the day and taking the initial phrase as a reference:

"The enemy of any creator is anonymity ".

That's why we see any number of absurdities in the networks, because first dead than ignored. The idea is to be famous no matter what, no matter how much it costs or how long it takes to achieve it or how long it takes to maintain it.

The networks also took advantage of another desire in us: to have a leader to follow, to admire those who dare to be, do and say what many would never risk.

We always want to communicate, to share and for people to react to what we communicate. We want to broadcast or receive, and social networks cover both. That's why and what they are for.
