The World Moves On

It's so unfortunate and disheartening when I come across people who want to live their lives pleasing people who for a second do not even care a bit about who they are or are interested in their lives, I know it is in this set of people to live their lives trying or wanting to please everyone but I always tell them, nobody cares about you, and nobody will care about you except you.

If you want to live all your lives here on earth pleasing people, you are going to end up dying a miserable death because it will be too late for you to realize that you killed your dreams, passion, and aspirations, goals wanting to please people who do not even care about your existing, all they are after is pleasing themselves and that is their business.

They won't care and don't care if you went through a furnace to please them because of course it is not their business, what is their business is that you were able to please them when and how they want it. The bitter truth is that, if you die trying or wanting to please them, the world will not stop because you died, life will go on because you are not too important, and nobody cares.

This is what we must all know and tell ourselves the truth, put yourself first because once you are no more, I mean dead and buried six feet below the earth, the people you moved the earth and seas for will move on, they will at the end strategize on how to move the earth and seas by themselves and with their hands without seeking for your help.

Those things that felt impossible for them because you were there to break an arm and leg for them would become possible and easy when you are no more. It doesn't mean you shouldn't help people but most times, learn to put yourself first and be unapologetic and selfish about putting yourself first, if that is what it will take because you are only as important as your relevance and influence.

I know it is a difficult pill to take, but I sure learned it the hard way but then it is important we know that the world doesn't need you pleasing everyone, do what you need and ought to do, do what you can do, if you can not do it, don't stretch beyond yourself all because you want to please someone, you will be failing woefully and pathetic.

A friend said, "It is a dog-eat-dog world", and I hope you get to understand that pleasing someone in this world is something you should never think of doing, it is draining and a killer of joy. Live pleasing yourself as long as you don't hurt anyone. Don't live your life pleasing anyone.
