STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP. YOU ARE DOING YOUR BEST

A few days ago, I sat down alone in my room and wept so hard, you would think something bad happened but there I was weeping because it was the end of the year and it felt like I had nothing to show for it, especially when you get to see your mate doing better, it gets too difficult to not want to shed tears and feel like a failure.

I know all these but then, I realized that even though I am not at the stage of life my mates are, I have no reason to beat myself up because whether I accept it or not, I have tried for the year, I have tried within my power and abilities.

I have enjoyed good health, I have fed myself, I have paid my rent, I have clothed myself, and I have helped other people in my little way, and the best way I can. So, why beat me because of where I am now when I have a lot of stories to tell about my struggles and challenges this year?

As we all know, scripture says, weeping may last for a while but joy comes in the morning, it may not be very far before everything will work in your favour. So I realized that instead of beating myself up, I could use that energy to give thanks to God for bringing me this far.

Instead of beating myself up, I should be grateful for all that has happened, for good health, the mistakes I have made and learned from, the good choices as blessings, the provision, and especially the preservation because, unlike others, we've been given another chance to achieve more and the best things life can offer.

See everything on the brighter side of life, For the things you can change, strive to do so, map out plans again for the coming year to achieve these things, and for the ones we cannot change, may they remain the same.

Choose to stay happy, soothe your troubling heart, and stop beating yourself up, re-strategize, and you will win.

They way you feel is more important. You always give the best of you, but when in the end someone is doing it better than you, than it is ok. The main thing is that you have fought hard, nothing to be embarrassed about, or to cry about. Cherish the hard work that you have already done.

You are right, we have to cherish ourselves and feel proud of how far we have come.

Thank you
