Films that changed my perception of Romance [ENG - ESP]
Hello friends! I don't know about you, but I am a hopeless romantic. I love to enjoy my favorite movies over and over again and reflect on life while enjoying a moment of peace and quiet. Many movies have made my perception of love a little different, but these two are without a doubt my favorites in the romance genre.

“It's not what you live but how you live it”
About Time is a romance film with great touches of fantasy and tells the story of Tim Lake, a charming but somewhat clumsy boy in the search for love, who at the age of 21 receives news that he can travel in time, so he decides to use this superpower to find his one true love, correcting over and over again what he has done wrong.
The central love story unfolds along with Tim's acquisition of maturity and security, guided by a father who, in my opinion, is a wise and loving character to his progeny. This story teaches us 4 important points:
1) The value of life is measured by your perception of it: Tim learns that gratitude marks a before and after in the way we live. Stopping to appreciate the value in the little things changes our concept of happiness.
2) Everything is cause and effect: I am a true believer in destiny, but with Tim I learned that we must accept what we cannot change. Tim teaches us that the past makes us what we are and that is a direct consequence of our decisions, so let's deal with it!
3) It is not selfishness to choose yourself over others: Tim teaches us that we cannot solve everyone's life, much less at the expense of our own well-being.
4) Live to love and love to live: Tim makes us understand that loving implies a good deal of commitment and patience, that there is no perfect love but we can build one by putting love fully, just like that.

“Reality and the absurd fantasy of love”
He's just not that into you is a romantic comedy about love in modern times. Despite being released in 2009, it shows us romance from a fresh and current perspective, placing us in several stories that develop around Gigi, a woman who lives in a self-imposed fantasy of love and is not fortunate enough to find it. She receives advice from her companions, who feed her illusion while dealing with their own problems.
This movie is so wonderful that as it unfolds, you begin to understand 3 points in couple relationships:
1) If he doesn't love you, he doesn't love you: Gigi clings so much to love and justifies it one way or another, forgetting that if someone really loves you, you will know it. So let's stop clinging to what clearly has no future and accept reality. The signs are there, we just need to remove the blindfold and that's it. Simple, right?
2) Communicate: There are 4 bases in love: loyalty, respect, commitment and communication. In the film we see how the lack of sincerity is palpable, generating misunderstandings and discomfort that could have been solved from the beginning if the points had been made clear.
3) Love yourself, who cares about others: This movie screams at us over and over again: love yourself, you deserve love and you are valuable. Don't stay where you are hurt and set boundaries. You are valuable, let the world know it and you too.
Both films are among my favorites because they give us a panoramic view of that beautiful romantic love that should fill us with satisfaction and make us live life for what it is: a limitless opportunity to be happy.

Adoro disfrutar una y otra vez de mis películas preferidas y reflexionar acerca de la vida mientras disfruto de un momento de paz y tranquilidad. Muchas películas han hecho que mi percepción del amor sea un poco distinta, pero estas dos sin duda son mis favoritas en el género romance.

Una cuestión de tiempo es una película de romance con grandes toques de fantasía y nos cuenta la historia de Tim Lake, un chico encantador pero algo torpe en la búsqueda del amor, que al cumplir los 21 años recibe una noticia de que puede viajar en el tiempo, por lo que decide emplear este superpoder para encontrar su único y verdadero amor, corrigiendo una y otra vez lo que ha hecho mal.
La historia de amor central se desarrolla junto con la adquisición de madurez y seguridad por parte de Tim, guiado por un padre que, a mi parecer, es un personaje sabio y amoroso con su progenie. Esta historia nos enseña 4 puntos importantes:
1) El valor de la vida se mide por tu percepción de ella: Tim aprende que la gratitud marca un antes y un después en nuestra forma de vivir. Detenerse a apreciar lo valioso en las pequeñas cosas cambia nuestro concepto de felicidad.
2) Todo es causa y efecto: soy fiel creyente del destino, pero con Tim aprendí que debemos aceptar lo que no podemos cambiar. Tim nos enseña que el pasado nos hace lo que somos y eso es consecuencia directa de nuestras decisiones. ¡Así que a lidiar con eso!
3) No es egoísmo elegirte por encima de los demás: Tim nos enseña que no podemos solucionarle la vida a todos y mucho menos a costa de nuestro bienestar.
4) Vive para amar y ama para vivir: Tim nos hace entender que amar implica una buena cuota de compromiso y paciencia, que no existe un amor perfecto pero podemos construir uno poniendo amor plenamente, sin más.

“La realidad y la absurda fantasía del amor”
Qué les pasa a los hombres es una comedia romántica que nos habla del amor en tiempos modernos. A pesar de ser estrenada en 2008, nos muestra el romance desde una perspectiva fresca y actual, situándonos en varias historias que se desarrollan en torno a Gigi, una mujer que vive en una fantasía autoimpuesta del amor y no tiene la fortuna de encontrarlo. Recibe consejos de sus compañeras, quienes alimentan su ilusión mientras lidian con sus propios problemas.
Esta película es tan maravillosa que a medida que se desarrolla, comienzas a comprender 3 puntos en las relaciones de pareja:
1) Si no te quiere, no te quiere: Gigi se aferra tanto al amor y lo justifica de una manera u otra, olvidando que si alguien realmente te quiere, lo sabrás. Así que dejemos de aferrarnos a lo que claramente no tiene futuro y aceptemos la realidad. Las señales están allí, solo debemos quitarnos la venda y ya. ¿Sencillo, cierto?
2) Comunícate: hay 4 bases en el amor: lealtad, respeto, compromiso y comunicación. Dentro de la película vemos cómo la falta de sinceridad se hace palpable, generando malentendidos y malestares que pudieron ser solucionados desde un principio si se hubieran puesto los puntos claros.
3) Ámate a ti, qué importa los demás: Esta película nos grita una y otra vez: ámate, mereces amor y eres valioso. No te quedes donde te lastiman y pon límites. Eres valioso, que el mundo lo sepa y tú también.
Ambas películas están entre mis favoritas porque nos permiten una vista panorámica de ese hermoso amor romántico que nos debe llenar de satisfacción y nos hace vivir la vida como lo que es: una oportunidad sin límites de ser feliz.

Interesantes películas sobre todo la de que les pasa a los hombres, es interesante el mensaje que explica la forma de comunicarse. Creo que has hecho un buen resumen de ambas películas, no soy especialista en reviews, pero a mi parecer, cumplen con lo necesario.
No he vistto las peliculas, pero las buscare para mirar que tal.
Este fue un post sencillo, me gusta verle el lado positivo y reflexivo a cada película y estas me encantan. Casualmente un personaje en una cuestión de tiempo me recuerda a ti.

El padre de Tim en una cuestión de tiempo un hombre muy sabio, personalmente uno de mis personajes favoritos.
